One of the masterful poets who contributed to the enrichment of our written literature with his poetic verses is the People’s Writer of Turkmenistan, winner of the Magtymguly State Prize, Gurbannazar Ezizov. The fact that the 85th anniversary of Gurbannazar Ezizov’s birth, who left his mark with deeply philosophical poems during his meaningful life and whose every line encouraged beautiful human qualities like simplicity and modesty, is widely celebrated in the International Year of Peace and Trust, raises our heads high with pride. With the aim of explaining the meaning and content of the poems that the poet Gurbannazar Ezizov bestowed upon future generations, and to further increase their love for literature, the D. Owluýaguliyev 13th Secondary School of Magtymguly etrap and the Magtymguly etrap Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan in Balkan velayat organized an expressive recitation competition titled “There is No Leaving This World For Him” among the 6th-12th grade students of the 13th Secondary School, where students had to recite the poet’s poems expressively from memory. Our school students actively participated in the competition. Each of them performed poems written by the poet on various themes, a stage play based on the romantic poem “Stone Girl” and the poem “Night Guest,” as well as songs created to the poet’s words, such as “Serdarym” and “Two Trees.” At the end of the competition, the students who participated and distinguished themselves were presented with diplomas, certificates of honor, and commemorative gifts by the Magtymguly etrap Council of the Magtymguly Youth Organization of Turkmenistan in Balkan velayat. We express our deep gratitude to our Hero Arkadag and our Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who highly value the masters of language in our national literature. May our Hero Arkadag and our Arkadagly Hero Serdar enjoy good health, long lives, and may their high spirits be safe! May all their ambitious endeavors always be crowned with success!
