INTERNATIONAL SCIENTIFIC CONFERENCE DEDICATED TO TURKMEN ALABAY AND TAZY

On the occasion of the holiday of Turkmen alabay, which will be solemnly celebrated on the last Sunday of October of the year «Ocean of Wisdom Magtymguly Pyragy» as a symbol of our pride in our national value, on October 25 at the S.A.Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University «Breeding of Turkmen alabay and tazy (greyhound): history, culture and art» IV international scientific conference was held.

First of all, the participants of the scientific conference watched the exhibition of our national values, works of art and books, organized in the cultural center of the university, which show the high level of respect for the Turkmen alabay and the Turkmen tazy, which are the national pride of the Turkmen people.

Representatives of the agricultural complex of Turkmenistan, the Agrarian Party, the Academy of Sciences, the State Museum of the State Cultural Center, the International Association «Türkmen alabaý itleri» and its magazine «Türkmeniň nusgalyk alabaýy», professors of higher educational institutions of the country spoke at the meeting. Renowned and folk dog breeders of Turkmenistan, expert cynologists, specialists of modern dog breeding centers and students of the S.A.Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University actively participated in it.

As it was emphasized in the speeches, large-scale work is being carried out in order to grow Turkmen alabay, which became the national pride of the beloved people with the visionary efforts and great initiatives of the President of Turkmenistan Arkadag Hero Serdar, to spread their glory to the world, and to continuously develop the art of dog breeding. As our Hero Arkadag pointed out, our ancestors, who gave us the ocean of wonders - the Akhalteke horse, the Turkmen carpets, and the Alabai dog - are people with a lot of talent, knowledge and skills.

The international scientific conference emphasized the antiquity of the Turkmen alabay and tazy, the fact that the alabay is a treasure of our people and a national heritage that dates back to centuries. Due to their loyalty, bravery, and fearlessness, the popularity of our alabays and tazys in the world is increasing. The fact that the Turkmen Alabay is one of the most ancient breeds of dogs is also confirmed by numerous archeological finds discovered during excavations in the famous historical and cultural monuments of the country, such as Altyndepe, Gonurdepe, and Nisa.

The meeting of the International Association «Türkmen alabaý itleri», the final round of the international competition «Turkmen Albaay of the Year», the international scientific conference, which coincides with the celebration, is an exhibition to carry out effective work on preserving the breeding purity of the Turkmen Alabay, increasing its population, and spreading its glory to the world. indicates that it is in progress.

During the Revival of the new era of powerful state, fundamental reforms were carried out to develop the horse industry in the country. Honorary titles such as «Honored dog breeder of Turkmenistan» and «People's dog breeder of Turkmenistan» were created, modern complexes of facilities for breeding and keepping of Turkmen alabay were built. The international association «Türkmen alabaý itleri» also conducts large-scale activities in the protection of alabays. The legal basis for protecting Alabai dogs was improved, and the Law of Turkmenistan «On Dog Breeding and Cynology» was adopted. Turkmen Alabay - Vepaly was chosen as the symbol of the 5th Asian Indoor and Martial Arts Games.

Speakers noted that in the book «Turkmen alabay itleri» and in the poem «Turkmen alabayi» special emphasis is placed on our national value. Our Hero Arkadag's book «Turkmen Alabay» says about our Alabay dogs, which amaze the world with their beauty, bravery, and loyalty: «Alabay is the wealth of our Motherland. It is a national treasure created by our forefathers. «It is our duty to preserve it and bring it to our future generations in all its splendor». In this book of our Hero Arkadag, it is said that the Alabays embody the best qualities of the Turkmen people. Those qualities are courage, bravery, loyalty and nobility. This valuable work is used as a guide in the theoretical and practical training of young people studying science in the field of cynological training at the S.N.Niyazov Turkmen Agricultural University.

The participants of the IV International scientific conference «Turkmen alabay and tazy breeding: history, culture and art» also watched the performances of the students' group of the «Altyn Asyr» cultural center of the higher educational institution. They reflected the diversity of our national culture, the delicacy and rich meaning of our art.

At the end of the meeting, participants expressed their deeppest gratitude to Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, who put great value on our national values.
