Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan held talks with the Head of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation

On October 10, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov met with the head of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov, who arrived in our country on a visit.

Expressing his heartfelt gratitude for the warm welcome, the guest noted that he was very glad to have the opportunity to visit fraternal Turkmenistan once again. As noted, the Republic of Tatarstan highly appreciates the significant personal contribution of the National Leader of the Turkmen people to strengthening effective dialogue based on friendly and good-neighborly relations.

Warmly welcoming the distinguished guest to the ancient Turkmen land during the wide celebration of the 300th anniversary of the birth of Mahtumkuly Fragi, the Arkadag Hero noted the dynamic and fruitful nature of Turkmenistan's cooperation with the Republic of Tatarstan, which is successfully developing within the framework of the interstate dialogue with the Russian Federation.

Speaking about the significance of the visit of the head of Tatarstan to Turkmenistan, the National Leader of the Turkmen people noted that this indicates a high level of friendly relations between our peoples based on common spiritual values.

As noted, the Republic of Tatarstan is one of the time–tested reliable partners of our country. Regular high-level meetings and negotiations contribute to strengthening traditional ties.

Turkmenistan and the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation have long-standing fruitful ties in the humanitarian sphere. We have accumulated a wealth of experience in cooperation in the field of science, education, culture and training of highly qualified personnel.

As noted, Tatarstan delegations, scientists, and cultural figures actively participate in major international conferences and creative festivals held in our country.

Hero-Arkadag expressed confidence that the current visit will be another step in strengthening Turkmen-Tatarstan friendship and cooperation.

During the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people confirmed his readiness to continue work on expanding multilateral cooperation with fraternal Tatarstan within the framework of effective interaction between Turkmenistan and the Russian Federation.

At the end of the meeting, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov and the head of the Republic of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov exchanged wishes for good health and success in government activities.
