The International Exhibition "Construction, Industry, Energy of Turkmenistan – 2024" and the conference "Development of Construction, Industry, Energy of Turkmenistan" have started their work in Ashgabat

On November 3, the International Exhibition "Construction, Industry, Energy of Turkmenistan – 2024" and the conference "Development of Construction, Industry, Energy of Turkmenistan" began their work in Ashgabat.

The large-scale exhibition "CIET 2024", organized by the Chamber of Commerce and Industry in cooperation with the Ministry of Industry and Construction Production and the economic association "Turkmen energiýa forum", aims to familiarize with the successes of our country in the field of construction, industrial production, energy and chemical industries, road construction, as well as services, specialized equipment and advanced technologies offered by well-known global companies.

The strong interest of both long-standing and potential partners, who are just looking at the promising Turkmen market, is evidenced by the solid composition of foreign participants. These are representatives of foreign companies and government agencies from near and far abroad, including Japan, China, the United Arab Emirates, Turkey, Iran, the Russian Federation, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, India, etc.

Members of the Government, heads and employees of diplomatic missions of foreign states and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, representatives of the media and public organizations were invited to the grand opening of the show.

Musical performances by creative teams brought bright touches to the festive atmosphere reigning under the arches of the huge exhibition hall.

With great attention, numerous participants of the exhibition and conference listened to the welcoming address sent by President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, which emphasizes that today our Motherland is confidently moving along the path of progress and prosperity, becoming one of the strongest and sustainably developing countries of the planet. The construction and industrial sector, like the rest of the national economy, is developing at an accelerated pace: the tasks of creating innovative capacities, large industrial enterprises, increasing import-substituting industries and increasing the export potential of the industry, introducing the digital economy into it are being successfully solved.

In his message, the Head of State expressed his conviction that the exhibition and conference will play a significant role in the exchange of practical experience between domestic specialists and foreign companies, will allow for broad cooperation with a view to the future and discuss projects of mutual interest.

Then they got acquainted with an extensive exposition telling about the course of an unprecedented process of modernization and diversification of the construction and industrial sectors of the national economy, which received their rapid development in the era of the Renaissance of a new era of a powerful state.

All this, combined with a far-sighted policy and a course towards active international cooperation, is generally considered to provide the most favorable conditions for the sustainable development of Turkmenistan and its constant economic growth.

As a result of the systematic implementation of the target strategy initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Hero-Arkadag and successfully continued under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, modern industrial enterprises equipped with advanced technologies specializing in the production of a wide range of import-substituting and export-oriented products have been built in the country all these years, an extensive transport infrastructure is being formed, the scope of construction of social and cultural facilities.

The hallmark of our sovereign Homeland has become the white marble Ashgabat, transformed beyond recognition, which has become not only the most beautiful, but also one of the most comfortable cities on the planet. The success of the large-scale urban development program launched in the capital is already eloquently evidenced by the fact that in recent years a number of Ashgabat's attractions have been included in the Guinness Book of Records.

Today, the construction and industrial complex plays a leading role in the consistent implementation of adopted state programs aimed at innovative development of the national economy, full-scale use of enormous natural resources, comprehensive reform of regions, construction of modern cities and villages, where optimal social infrastructure is being formed that meets the requirements of the time.

The attention of the guests and participants of the exhibition was immediately attracted by layouts and banners depicting majestic administrative, educational, sports facilities, shopping and entertainment centers, luxury residential buildings, parks and luxury hotels, sports and health and medical complexes, high-speed highways, etc.

From this point of view, the current industry review is of interest not only for specialists, but also for numerous citizens and guests of the capital, for whom it has become a wonderful opportunity to see firsthand the dramatic changes in the appearance of Turkmen cities and villages that have become a living embodiment of the creative spirit of the current era.

In just a couple of years, the unique city of Arkadag was created, which received a special legal status of a city of national importance on a legislative basis. Its grand opening on June 29, 2023, became a significant event in the history of not only domestic, but also the entire world urban planning.

As you know, as part of the first stage of the megaproject implementation, 336 socio-cultural and other facilities were built and commissioned on the territory of the new city, erected on the initiative of the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The construction of the facilities of the second stage of the modern metropolis continues at an accelerated pace, which directly indicates the growing potential and power of the national economy.

The Smart City, located in the picturesque foothills of Kopetdag, is an exemplary example of a "smart" city, in which advanced digital, information and communication and "green" technologies are integrated into its life.

It should be noted that the construction of the city of Arkadag and the development of its digital platform have become a kind of school for the practical application of theoretical knowledge, innovative proposals and ideas for students and teaching staff of domestic specialized higher educational institutions.

Special attention is paid here to such an urgent aspect as ecology. The successful solution of the tasks set in this area is evidenced by the fact that the city of Arkadag was awarded a certificate of accession to the project "Development of sustainable, green, climate-friendly cities with innovative solutions in the region of the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe".

In total, over 20 certificates and diplomas from major international organizations and a number of foreign companies were awarded to the new unique city.

As you know, the development of the construction industry is the most important priority of state development. Today, our country is effectively solving the tasks of expanding and modernizing the infrastructure of the construction industry, creating new modern production facilities where innovative technologies are being introduced, as well as increasing the output of import-substituting and export-oriented products. Thanks to the purposeful work carried out in this direction, opportunities have been created to fully provide the population and construction sites with high-quality industrial products from the richest reserves of local raw materials.

Today, specialized enterprises produce such demanded building materials as cement, non-metallic, wall, finishing, waterproofing materials, metal products, glass, precast reinforced concrete and large-panel structures, expanded clay, kaolin, etc.

According to the requirements, only high-quality materials are used in the construction and decoration of facilities being built throughout the country. When selecting them, the climatic conditions of our region, compliance with environmental standards, durability and ease of use are necessarily taken into account.

All the variety of products produced in the country, capable of making worthy competition in the world market, were presented in spacious exhibition halls by both the "heavyweights" of the domestic industrial sector and small private enterprises successfully mastering work in this segment.

Having embarked on the formation of a competitive national economy and deepening market relations, Turkmenistan strongly stimulates the entrepreneurial activity of domestic business circles, creating optimal legal, economic, financial and social conditions for the development of small and medium-sized businesses and support for private initiative.

Members of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan take an active part in the creation of modern enterprises for the production of building materials that meet international quality standards, as well as the construction of facilities of various complexity for industrial and social and cultural purposes.
