Negotiations between the Presidents of Turkmenistan and Mongolia took place in Ashgabat

On October 12, as part of the first state visit of the President of Mongolia to Turkmenistan, high-level talks were held between the heads of the two friendly countries, Serdar Berdimuhamedov and Ukhnaagiin Khurelsuh.

The motorcade of the head of the friendly state, accompanied by an honorary escort of motorcyclists, proceeded to the Presidential Palace Complex named after Oguzkhan. From the intersection of Turkmenbashi–Galkynysh streets, the motorcade of the President of Mongolia was accompanied by an honorary horse escort.

The Head of Turkmenistan warmly and cordially welcomed the distinguished guest at the central entrance of the Palace Complex.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov expressed confidence that the first state visit of the President of Mongolia to Ashgabat will be a historic milestone in the further expansion of friendship and cooperation between the two countries and peoples. Turkmenistan's commitment to the consistent development of cooperation with Mongolia in the political, diplomatic, trade, economic, cultural and humanitarian spheres, close cooperation within the framework of major international organizations was noted.

The Head of Turkmenistan also expressed confidence that during this visit a wide range of issues will be considered and the main directions of cooperation will be determined, taking into account the long-term prospects for the development of bilateral relations.

The Mongolian leader stressed the great potential for the development of interstate dialogue, which is invariably of a mutually respectful and constructive nature and fully meets the interests of the two friendly peoples.

Further negotiations continued in the Soltan Sanjar Hall in an expanded format – with the participation of members of the official delegations of the two countries.

At the end of the negotiations, a ceremony of signing bilateral documents took place.

Then the heads of the two states proceeded to the Mahtumkuly hall, where they addressed representatives of the media.
