A briefing was held at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan

On October 14, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan hosted a briefing on the International Forum "The Interconnection of Times and Civilizations – the foundation of peace and development".

The event was attended by the heads of the country's foreign ministry, as well as heads of diplomatic missions and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan, and the media.The initiatives of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov to study on a scientific basis and popularize the literary heritage of the great poet Makhtumkuly Fragi throughout the world are currently being successfully implemented under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

The high representative composition of the international forum, held in the capital under the chairmanship of the head of the Turkmen state, is a vivid confirmation of this.

As noted, the humanistic views of the poet and thinker are based on the principles of mutual respect, good neighborliness and trust. They form the basis of our state's foreign policy and serve to strengthen friendship and brotherhood in the world.

Independent, neutral Turkmenistan promotes peace–loving principles and initiatives at the global level for the benefit of all mankind - within the framework of international organizations.

In this regard, the consistent efforts of the Motherland to strengthen peace through dialogue and trust are recognized by the international community. Turkmenistan's cooperation with the United Nations is evidence of our country's commitment to these principles.

At the initiative of Turkmenistan, the UN General Assembly adopted a number of resolutions, including the proclamation of 2025 as the International Year of Peace and Trust. The adoption of this important document has further strengthened Turkmenistan's position in the international space as a peacekeeping country.

As noted in the speeches, the work of the great poet and thinker Mahtumkuly, which never loses its significance, is revered all over the world. His works act as a consolidating force. This is clearly evidenced by the fact that the poet's poems have been translated into dozens of languages.

Many foreign scientists have written a number of scientific papers devoted to Fraga's work, and thus made a worthy contribution to the popularization of the poet's literary heritage in the world.

Today, the poetry of Mahtumkuly Fragi has become an ambassador of goodwill of the Turkmen people in the development of friendly, good-neighborly relations with the peoples of the world and strengthening international humanitarian cooperation. The work of an outstanding master of the word is a symbol of humanity and spiritual purity.

The poet in his poems called for high morality, patriotism and humanism. These teachings of the great thinker are a valuable legacy left to present and future generations, and his work marks the connection of times and civilizations.

Speaking about the significance of today's briefing, it should be noted that it was a continuation of the work that is being carried out in our country in the name of increasing the fame of an outstanding poet, and familiarizing the world community with his literary heritage.
