On November 8, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers on the digital system, at which the results of the work carried out over ten months of this year were summed up and the priorities of the socio-economic development of the country were discussed.
Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers H.Geldimyradov reported on macroeconomic indicators for ten months of this year.
Thus, over the past period, comprehensive measures have been taken aimed at ensuring the stable development of all sectors of the economy and regions, maintaining a steady growth rate of GDP, which amounted to 6.3 percent. This indicator reached 2.5 percent in the industrial sector, 10.9 percent in construction, 6.7 percent in the transport and communication complex, 9 percent in trade, 5.3 percent in agriculture, and 8.6 percent in the service sector.
In general, the volume of products produced increased by 11.8 percent compared to the same period in 2023.
In January–October of this year, retail trade turnover increased by 12.5 percent compared to the same period last year.
As it was reported, the revenue part of the country's State Budget has been fulfilled at the level of 102.8 percent in ten months, and the expenditure part – 97.7 percent.
Wages for large and medium-sized enterprises are 10.5 percent higher compared to the same period in 2023. Salaries, pensions, state benefits and scholarships for students have been fully funded.
The volume of capital investments aimed at developing the economy through all sources of financing increased by 25.2 percent compared to the corresponding period in 2023.
It was also reported on the indicators of the implementation of the National Rural Program.
After hearing the report, the President of Turkmenistan stressed that special importance should be attached to the effective growth of all sectors of the economy and the sustainable development of the regions. Stating the need for further implementation of reforms aimed at improving the social and living standards of the population, Head of State Serdar Berdimuhamedov instructed the Deputy Prime Minister to take appropriate measures to ensure the rational development of capital investments.
