At the TurkmenTel international exhibition and conference, Deputy Minister of Education of Turkmenistan Azat Ataev met with Allen Tang, President of the ICT Solutions Marketing and Sales Department for the Middle East and Central Asia at Huawei. The meeting focused on strategic cooperation in training highly qualified specialists for the information and communication technology (ICT) sector.
The Huawei representative expressed a strong interest in developing a partnership with Turkmenistan, emphasizing the importance of joint efforts in preparing skilled professionals for the ICT industry. Allen Tang highlighted that Huawei positions itself not only as a telecommunications equipment provider but also as a global innovation company, dedicated to creating advanced technologies and developing new solutions for digital transformation. Special attention is given to the educational and research sectors in this regard.
Tang emphasized that the company sees great potential for ICT development in Turkmenistan and is prepared to offer comprehensive support in establishing ICT academies and implementing advanced solutions, such as Smart Classroom 3.0. He also noted that Huawei's global initiative, "Seeds for the Future," is an essential tool for equipping students with cutting-edge skills in technologies like artificial intelligence and cloud computing, inviting Turkmenistan to actively participate in the program.
In response, Azat Ataev underscored the significant potential for collaboration and the effectiveness of the Ministry of Education delegation’s visit to Shanghai in September this year, where they attended the Huawei Connect 2024 international exhibition and conference. During this visit, critical agreements were reached in ICT education, paving the way for further cooperation in applying artificial intelligence in education.
Thus, this meeting marked an important step towards strengthening the partnership between Turkmenistan and Huawei in the fields of education and innovative technologies.
