Strengthening Friendly Relations

During the Epoch of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero Arkadag and our Esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar are implementing significant changes in our country’s science and education sector, resulting with fruitful achievements. Higher education institutions of Turkmenistan establish and develop extensive cooperation with leading global science and education centers and universities of the world through the efforts of our Hero Arkadag and our Esteemed President.

On October 14, at Magtymguly Turkmen State University, taking advantage of the vast opportunities provided by our Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for developing international cooperation, a ceremony was held to sign the “Memorandum of Understanding between Magtymguly Turkmen State University and the University of Perugia for Foreigners” aimed at enhancing collaboration with the University of Perugia for Foreigners of the Republic of Italy.

During the ceremony, speakers underlined ongoing partnerships between the two friendly countries. Considering the expediency of developing relations between Turkmenistan and the Republic of Italy; the legal foundations for bilateral cooperation in higher education, science, and culture between the two universities, as well as the opportunities for fulfilling the fruitfulness of the cooperation, the Memorandum of Understanding between Magtymguly Turkmen State University and the University of Perugia for Foreigners was signed. According to this agreement, the parties are committed to cooperating in establishing modern methodologies for teaching foreign languages and improving leading teaching practices; developing collaboration by exchanging curricula, programs, teaching and scientific-methodological guidelines, scientific publications, and textbooks for enhancing the teaching of foreign languages; ensuring the exchange of professors and teachers on equal terms; and, upon request from Magtymguly Turkmen State University, the University of Perugia for Foreigners is asked to provide and send Italian language teachers.

At the end of the signing ceremony, participants expressed their gratitude and appreciation to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and our Esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar, for their constructive efforts in developing educational and scientific cooperation between the two states and preparing highly qualified specialists for modern society.
