New frontiers in education

On November 20, 2024, a meeting was held between the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan's Innovation Information Center and the European Education Foundation.

The meeting was attended by Ms. Raano Turayeva-Hyonen, the European Education Foundation's (EFO) Central Asia Coordinator, member of the SCAFFOLD methodology group for the DARYA project, and international expert; Chary Hanmuhammedov, Director of the Innovation Information Center of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan; and relevant specialists.

During the meeting, the importance of the Innovation Information Center within the SCAFFOLD methodology, its tasks, and the projects it is implementing were discussed in detail. Several key issues related to education and digital learning were also addressed. Ms. Turayeva-Hyonen expressed deep interest in the center’s international cooperation and its internal activities, noting that future bilateral cooperation would continue to progress and that joint initiatives would be carried out.

This meeting further reinforced Turkmenistan’s and the European Education Foundation’s commitment to active collaboration in the education sector. Director Chary Hanmuhammedov emphasized that the center is well-prepared for new initiatives to improve the education system, enhance professional skills, and equip the younger generation for contemporary challenges.

Additionally, the introduction of the eMekdep platform generated particular interest. Several key features of the platform, which make learning more convenient and effective, were highlighted. The guest emphasized the platform’s appeal and the broad opportunities it offers to users, noting that increasing collaboration with foreign countries will be crucial for more effective idea exchange and the successful implementation of joint projects.

At the conclusion of the meeting, it was emphasized that the further development of cooperation between Turkmenistan and the European Education Foundation would pave the way for new achievements in the education sector and provide impetus for the successful implementation of modern projects.
