Turkmen-Japanese Cooperation in the Field of Science and Education is Expanding

As part of the educational cooperation between the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and Japan, in accordance with the agreement signed with the Japanese "Japan Foundation," Japanese experts Hiroshi Ito and Naruhito Katsu, who are working on preparing textbooks and materials for teaching Japanese in general education schools, visited Turkmenistan. The main purpose of their visit was to familiarize themselves with the teaching of Japanese language, provide methodical consultations to Japanese language teachers, and share their experiences. From September 25 to November 14, 2024, they visited specialized schools in Ashgabat, including schools No. 140, No. 37, No. 61, No. 89, as well as schools No. 15 in the city of Balkanabat and No. 13 in the city of Turkmenbashi in the Balkan region.

During their working visits, Japanese experts Hiroshi Ito and Naruhito Katsu closely observed the teaching of Japanese language in general education schools and noted with great interest the enthusiasm of students for the Japanese language lessons. They conducted a Q&A session with the students in Japanese. They also provided methodical advice to Japanese language teachers and shared their teaching experiences.

Turkmen-Japanese cooperation in education opens up great opportunities for the youth to receive new and modern knowledge, as well as to foster friendship and trust between the two nations. We are confident that this cooperation will continue to develop in the future, and as a result of new educational programs being implemented in our country, more projects in fields such as new technologies and innovation will be carried out among talented young generations.
