The national education system continues to reach new levels of development, within which deep reforms initiated by Arkadagly Hero Serdar are being successfully implemented. An educated, well-rounded, and competitive young generation with a broad worldview, meeting the demands of the time, is being formed. In this regard, the education system has undergone significant changes in a short period. Various competitions and Olympiads held in our country and abroad, as well as the constant successes of students from general education schools and universities in these events, are vivid evidence of this.
From November 4 to 11, 2024, the World Mental Sports Olympiad “MEMORIAD – 2024” took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. More than 150 pupils from over 60 countries participated in the Olympiad. For the first time, 17 pupils from Turkmenistan took part in these international competitions.
At the World Mental Sports Olympiad, Ogulmaral Altyeva, a student of secondary school No. 2 in Ashgabat, and Mekan Nurgeldiev, a student of the specialized secondary school No. 41 in Turkmenabat, Lebap region, won gold medals. Aygul Yusupova, a student of the specialized secondary school with an in-depth study of foreign languages No. 29 in Turkmenabat, received a silver medal.
From November 5 to 10, 2024, the 6th International Science and Invention Fair (ISIF) was held in Denpasar, Bali, Republic of Indonesia.
As a result of this competition, Davletmyrat Alimuhammedov, an 11th-grade student of the Saparmurat Turkmenbashi specialized secondary school-internat in Ashgabat, was awarded a special prize and a gold medal. Kerimberdy Myradlyev and Rahmanberdy Odemuradov also received gold medals. Oghuzhan Mergenov, a 12th-grade student, and Muhammetguly Oraznepesov, an 11th-grade student, were awarded silver medals. Govshut Akmyradov, a 4th-year student at the Oguzhan Engineering and Technology University of Turkmenistan, won a gold medal. Yaransh Khudaiberdiyev and Kerim Meredov, 4th-year students at the Turkmen Agricultural University named after S.A. Niyazov, were also awarded gold medals.
On November 21, 2024, a ceremony was held at the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan to award the aforementioned winners. During the ceremony, the Minister of Education of Turkmenistan congratulated the winners on their achievements and wished them to continue their hard work and strive for similar awards in the future, using the modern opportunities created by the respected Arkadagly Serdar for receiving a quality education. He also encouraged them to contribute to the rapid development of our country. The winners were presented with Honorary Certificates and valuable gifts from the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan and the Magtumguly Youth Organization.
As noted by Hero-Arkadag, sports combine strength, beauty, health, and high spirit. Education is the mirror of life. From this perspective, the great initiatives implemented under the wise leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar to engage youth in sports reflect significant efforts aimed at the comprehensive, both spiritual and physical, development of the younger generation.
