A practical-methodological seminar was held

In our country, tasks aimed at developing the education system and training highly qualified specialists in this field are being successfully implemented. As a result of reforms carried out in recent years, the demand for skilled specialists and advanced professionals in all areas has significantly increased, contributing to impressive economic growth.

This, in turn, requires enhancing students' interest in lessons and increasing teachers' focus on providing high-quality education.

On November 21, 2024, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, in collaboration with the administration of Ahal Velayat, organized a scientific-methodological seminar on the topic: "Integrating International Requirements and National Principles into Turkmenistan's Education System within the Framework of General Education Programs". The event was conducted at a high organizational level in Specialized Secondary School No. 27 named after Berdimuhamet Annaev in the town of Yzgant, Gokdepe District, Ahal Velayat. This school specializes in information technology, programming, and cybersecurity.

Participants of the seminar visited the exhibits of the school museum. They also attended an exhibition dedicated to the subject week on "Turkmen Language and Literature", which has a significant impact on students' learning, as well as a book exhibition featuring works authored by the Heads of State.

The seminar began with a speech by the Director of the National Institute of Education of Turkmenistan, B. Bashimov.

During the speech, the head of the Department for Professional Development of Educators at the National Institute of Education, Doctor of Biological Sciences S. Durdiyev, elaborated on the tasks and methods for integrating international educational programs such as PISA, TIMSS, and PIRLS into the national education system.

This is in accordance with the "Concept for Improving the Teaching Methodology of General Education Programs in Turkmenistan until 2028". Special attention was given to the speeches of O. Ovezov, a history teacher at Secondary School No. 20 named after S.A. Niyazov in Ashgabat; A. Tashliyev, a leading researcher in the Department of Labor and Vocational Training at the National Institute of Education; P. Gokbayeva, a senior researcher in the Department of Natural and Exact Sciences of the same institute; and B. Akmyradov, a mathematics teacher at School No. 27.

The seminar also discussed the "Concept for Improving the Teaching Methodology of General Education Programs until 2028", approved by the Presidential Decree of Turkmenistan on May 25 of this year, and the "Plan of Actions for its Implementation". The objectives of aligning education quality with international standards, improving teaching methodologies, introducing innovative methods into the educational process, fostering the creativity and professional skills of teachers, and enhancing the mentorship system were emphasized. Participants also highlighted the importance of organizing modern competitions among students and developing new methods for their implementation.

The seminar also focused on the vast opportunities created for educators by Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar. Teachers expressed their pride in the support provided and wished their leaders health and continued success.
