Turkmenistan expands relations with Italy

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Turkmenistan to the Italian Republic Toyla Komekov met with Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Italy Edmondo Cirielli and representatives of the Italian Foreign Ministry at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Italy.

The talks discussed further steps to strengthen bilateral cooperation in international organizations, as well as deepening cooperation in science, culture, trade and economics. The parties considered the possibility of holding joint events with the participation of heads of relevant departments.

Special attention was paid to the preparation of the visit of the heads of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs to Ashgabat for inter-ministerial consultations.

As it was noted, in early December 2024, representatives of Italy in the fields of education, health, energy and sustainable development will visit Ashgabat. The main purpose of the visit will be to discuss the practical implementation of the agreements reached at the Third Italy—Central Asia Ministerial Meeting, which was held in Rome in May 2024.
