Cotton production volumes will continue to increase

The Head of State instructed to ensure the production of appropriate volumes of cotton in Turkmenistan in 2025

In order to further increase the volume of cotton production based on the rational use of land, water, agricultural machinery and mineral fertilizers, high-quality agrotechnical measures in the era of the Revival of a new era of a powerful state, the President of Turkmenistan signed a decree. In accordance with the document, the Ministry of Agriculture, the State Concern "Turkmenpagta", the hyakimliks of the Akhal, Balkan, Dashoguz, Lebap and Mary velayats were instructed:

– to ensure the production of appropriate volumes of cotton in Turkmenistan in 2025 by organizing the work of tenants, land users and landowners at a high level;

– to place cotton seeds according to etraps, taking into account soil and climatic conditions in accordance with the plan approved by the Ministry of Agriculture.

Based on the conclusion of a contract with cotton producers, it is prescribed to provide them in accordance with agrotechnical standards:

– The State Concern "Turkmenpagta" with the necessary volumes of high-quality cotton seeds;

– To the State Association "Turkmenobahyzmat" with technical services related to the preparation of land for sowing, cotton sowing, crop care and cotton harvesting;

– To the State Committee of Water Management – with appropriate volumes of irrigation water;

– To the State Concern "Türkmenhimiýa" – with appropriate amounts of fertilizers.
