In 2024, the Turkmen people reaffirm their dedication to their national cultural heritage, rich history, and traditions by naming the year "The Treasury of Wisdom – Magtymguly Pyragy." This designation highlights their pride in preserving and celebrating the legacy of the renowned poet and thinker, Magtymguly Pyragy. To honor this year, on October 12, special cultural events were organized for foreign guests participating in the international exhibition and scientific meeting titled "Healthcare, Education, and Sports in the Era of the New Era of a Strong State's Revival."
The guests first visited the National Museum of Turkmenistan. This museum showcases samples of Turkmen carpets from various eras, clearly demonstrating that the Turkmen people's craftsmanship and artistic traditions are among their enduring cultural treasures. The intricate patterns and complex weaving techniques of Turkmen carpets captured the guests' attention and left a strong impression on them.
Subsequently, the foreign guests visited the State Museum of the Ministry of Culture of Turkmenistan. There, they were introduced to the rich historical heritage of the Turkmen people, their cultural values, and past achievements. The museum's exhibits highlight the significant contribution of the Turkmen people to global civilization.
During the cultural events, the guests also toured the "Nusai" State Cultural-Historical Reserve, which is listed on UNESCO's World Heritage List. Here, they explored historical monuments from the ancient Parthian period. The "Nusai" reserve not only showcases the Turkmen people's important place in world history but also continues to preserve its value as a global cultural heritage site.
These tours left a profound impression on the guests, allowing them to better understand the unique aspects of Turkmen cultural heritage and its influence on global communities.
