The President of Turkmenistan took part in festive events at the equestrian complex

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov arrived at the Akhal-Teke International Equestrian Complex, where he took part in the celebrations dedicated to the Independence Day of Turkmenistan.

During the holidays, Turkmens have been holding competitions of the best Akhal-Teke horses for centuries, which have become a symbol of returning to their origins, customs and traditions of their ancestors. This bright and spectacular performance is not just a competition of the best representatives of the unique and ancient Akhal-Teke breed, but also a genuine hymn to the unique beauty and grace of the "heavenly" horses.

Equestrian competitions also allow riders to demonstrate their skills and bravery. The proverbs and sayings "A horse is the wings of a horseman's soul", "A horse is known at the races, and a man is in battle", "A horse is a friend of a horseman", "Get up in the morning, visit your father, and then your horse" are a tribute to the great respect and reverence of the steed by the Turkmen people.

The Ahal–Teke horse breed is the result of the labor of our ancestors, bred on the ancient Turkmen land. "Paradise" horses, which have become the property of human civilization, are recognized as elite among all other breeds of horses in the world. These delightful creatures are distinguished by dedication, exterior beauty, agility and endurance. They are the pride of the nation and the "wings of its soul."

Today, the state is creating the necessary conditions for the development of horse breeding and equestrian sports based on the achievements of modern world practice in this field.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov pays great attention to the large-scale work carried out in the industry, which is put on a scientific basis. The great merit in this noble cause belongs to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

The establishment of the International Association of Akhal-Teke Horse Breeding and the location of its headquarters in our capital, Ashgabat, opens up broad prospects for building ties and strengthening close interstate cooperation in this area. The construction of modern equestrian complexes, educational and scientific centers, and stables in the velayats of the country, meeting international standards, contributes to the organization of tireless and selfless work of horse breeders at the proper level. Along with this, great importance is attached to the training of highly qualified specialists, in particular, the establishment of the International Academy of Horse Breeding named after Aba Annaev in the city of Arkadag gives a new impetus to the development of the profile industry, multiplies the glory of Akhal-Teke horses.

Special training centers are also being created to train jockeys and professionals to train horses for horse racing. The Ashgabat Equestrian Complex with an open arena, which is designed for show jumping competitions, provides significant assistance in the development of equestrian sports in the country. In addition, the state takes care of improving the life and working conditions of industry workers.

Domestic horse breeders are doing everything possible to preserve the purity of the breed of Akhal-Teke horses and increase their livestock. Work is being intensified on the development of horse breeding and equestrian sports in the independent Homeland, the exchange of useful practical experience and constructive cooperation with foreign countries. The inclusion of the art of Akhal-Teke horse breeding and traditions of horse decoration as one of the elite types of Turkmen art in the Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Mankind by UNESCO has further increased the world fame of Akhal-Teke horses, considered a masterpiece of national and world culture.

On September 27 of this year, the "paradise" horses once again showed themselves in all their glory at the festive parade that took place in the capital to commemorate the 33rd anniversary of the independence of the Motherland.

...From early morning in the International Akhal–Teke Equestrian Complex, located in the picturesque foothills of Kopetdag, there is an exciting atmosphere of great celebration, combining scale and grandeur with a single spiritual impulse of the people, a high state level - with the colorfulness and flavor of national traditions, the generosity of the Turkmen toy.

The Chairman of the Mejlis, members of the Government, heads of military and law enforcement agencies, ministries and sectoral departments, public organizations, mass media, elders and youth gathered here. Among the participants of the celebrations are the heads of diplomatic missions and missions accredited in our country, as well as foreign guests.

Everyone is very enthusiastic to welcome President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, who has arrived at the Akhal-Teke International Equestrian Complex.

Vernissages of works of national decorative and applied arts, folk crafts, paintings are deployed on the territory of the complex. This picturesque gallery, which also includes museum values, presented all the wealth and inexhaustibility of the creative imagination of the people, becoming a kind of dedication to the legendary Akhal-Teke horses.

Along the way, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov inspected the expositions of the cities of Ashgabat and Arkadag, all five velayats of the country, which differ in specifics, characteristic features of folk art and techniques of craftsmen. This made it possible to reflect the diversity of the ethnographic heritage of the people, to demonstrate their inexhaustible talent.

Among the exhibits are wonderful carpets and silk fabrics, amazing embroideries, national clothes and headdresses of Turkmen, jewelry, original samples of textile, felt, leather and wooden products, national musical instruments, elegant horse harnesses in gems, traditional household items, tools, various souvenirs, etc.

Artists and sculptors presented their works at the exhibition. Proud horses are depicted on paintings, in metal and stone, other materials and in original publishing projects.

The bright color inherent in the real Turkmen toy was brought to the palette of the holiday by inspired performances of artists and creative collectives, as well as an ensemble of bakhshi musicians who demonstrated virtuoso skills of playing the dutar, and the demonstration competition in goresh wrestling reflected the continuity of national traditions.

Artists of folklore and dance ensembles performed in front of the main building of the International Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex with a festive musical dedication. The inspiring chord of the holiday was the song "Bedewim".

...The starter's signal sounds, and the frisky steeds took off, quickly gaining speed.

The plastic running of the Akhal-Teke creates the impression that they hover above the ground without touching it with their hooves. This creature combines refined beauty and incomparable grace with amazing endurance and strength, an ardent temperament and a proud disposition with a sensitive soul capable of amazing loyalty and devotion.

The traditions of Turkmen horse breeding, the effectiveness of which has been tested for centuries, the national horse training school attract the most interested attention of professionals. After all, the Turkmens were not only able to present to the world such a work of the highest art of national breeders as the Akhal-Teke steed, but also to preserve the thoroughbred blood of these priceless horses.

In total, seven races were held at various distances, each of which was attended by 12 horses who demonstrated their best athletic qualities.

Three-year-old racehorses competed in the first three races at a distance of 1600 meters.

In the opening race, the best result of 1 minute 52.1 seconds was shown by the horse Gonubek, owned by the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan and driven by jockey S.Charyev.

In the second race, Gulbakhar, a dark brown Arch horse belonging to the Bäherden horse farm of the State Concern Türkmengaz, with a rider Ya, came first to the finish line.Saparov overcame the distance in 1 minute 51.6 seconds.

In the third race, the best result – 1 minute 53 seconds – was demonstrated by the beautiful bay Dorsekil, owned by the agency "Türkmenaragatnaşyk" and driven by the rider O.Yalkabov.

The remaining races were contested by racehorses aged four years and older.

The leader of the fourth race at a distance of 1600 meters was the bay horse Biasleshik, belonging to the Ministry of National Security of Turkmenistan, with a result of 1 minute 50.9 seconds. Jockey – K.Ovezov.

In the fifth race at a distance of 1800 meters, Dagbedev's horse, belonging to the Akhal–Teke equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan, jockey T.Babayev, finished first. The time is 2 minutes 03.3 seconds.

In the sixth race for a similar distance, the bay horse Dayanjim, owned by the Akhal-Teke Equestrian Complex of the President of Turkmenistan and managed by jockey B.Bajamov, became the best. The winner's result is 2 minutes 05.5 seconds.

In the final, seventh race for the same distance, there was a struggle for the main prize, established by the President of Turkmenistan. The first to finish with a score of 2 minutes 06.8 seconds was the salt-colored horse Bezirgen, belonging to the Ahal-Teke equestrian complex of the President of Turkmenistan. The jockey is B.Agamyradov.

Then a solemn ceremony of awarding the winners took place. The participants of the competition expressed their deep gratitude to the head of state and Hero Arkadag for their attention to the development of the industry and assured that they would make every effort to preserve and continue the famous national traditions of horseback riding, increase the world fame of "paradise" horses.

The current horse races, timed to coincide with the 33rd anniversary of the independence of the Motherland, have become a truly fascinating sight. The competitive spirit, excitement and, of course, the impetuosity and beauty of the Akhal-Teke people invariably give such competitions an emotional edge.

At the end of the celebrations at the Ahal-Teke International Equestrian Complex, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov warmly said goodbye to everyone and left the event site.

Today's celebrations have become a vivid symbol of the rapid development of Turkmenistan under the wise leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar in the era of the Revival of a new era of a powerful state in the name of ensuring a prosperous life for the people.
