In the Year of “The Fount of Wisdom Magtymguly Pyragy,” Turkmenistan continues to achieve significant progress in the fields of science and education, alongside other sectors. Under the wise leadership of the esteemed President, ample opportunities are being created for the younger generation to receive education in line with the demands of the time, grow into cultured, patriotic, and well-rounded individuals, and gain excellent proficiency in foreign languages.
Recently, textbooks for the 12th grade of general education schools in the country have been published: “Chinese Language (Second Foreign Language)” (author: Ch. Mowlamova) and “Japanese Language (Second Foreign Language)” (authors: H. Ito, G. Sahedova).
These textbooks have been developed in accordance with the approved educational curricula and are based on the tasks and principles of teaching foreign languages outlined in the “Concept for Improving Foreign Language Teaching in Turkmenistan.”
The educational materials provided in these textbooks allow students in the final year of secondary school to revise and reinforce the knowledge acquired in previous grades. The textbooks are based on the principles of communicativeness (communication-oriented), interactivity (active engagement), and extensive use of digital technologies.
The innovative approach to foreign language lessons in schools helps to increase students’ interest in language learning, make the learning process dynamic and effective, broaden their worldview through linguocultural educational materials, and achieve positive outcomes.
