Rashid Meredov and Sergey Lavrov discussed the Turkmen-Russian agenda via the phone

On December 2, a telephone conversation took place between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan Rashid Meredov and the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov.

“During the conversation, the parties discussed key aspects of the Turkmen-Russian agenda, in particular, considering the prospects for developing cooperation in areas of mutual interest”, the press release of the Turkmen Foreign Ministry states.

The ministers noted the importance of continuing cooperation between the ministries.

The diplomatic department also clarified that the conversation was initiated by the Russian side.

A report from the press service of the Russian Foreign Ministry indicates that the parties also discussed the schedule of upcoming joint events and exchanged views on cooperation within regional formats.
