As part of their official visit to Romania, a delegation from the International University for Humanities and Development (IUHD) held a meeting with the leadership of the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, a leading institution in Romania's engineering technology sector. The Polytechnic University, which has 15 faculties and a student body of over 25,000, hosted the discussion to explore opportunities for academic collaboration.
During the meeting, Vice-Rector Horia Necula of the Polytechnic University provided an overview of the institution’s history, structure, and international initiatives. He emphasized the university's commitment to fostering partnerships and expressed interest in building long-term ties with the Turkmen university.
In response, Vice-Rector N. Shyhlyyev of IUHD highlighted the significance of the meeting and underscored potential avenues for collaboration, particularly in the field of information technology. He noted Turkmenistan's dedication to innovation and economic transformation under the guidance of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov. N. Shyhlyyev also detailed the country’s technological development roadmap, a strategic plan designed to drive digital transformation, enhance state management, and foster a knowledge-based economy through 2025.
Both parties discussed the possibility of establishing a dual-degree program in computer technology using the 1+1 model, which would allow students to study at both institutions.
The meeting concluded with mutual expressions of interest in strengthening academic ties and exploring cooperative projects in areas of shared interest.
