The Ceremony of Honoring Members of the Council of Elders Took Place

On December 10, the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Honorary Elder Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, held a meeting of the Council of Elders of the Halk Maslahaty and the Charitable Foundation for Assisting Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. The agenda included issues related to the implementation of tasks set during the national forum, as well as the progress of large-scale projects in the velayats.

Opening the meeting, Hero-Arkadag emphasized that noble principles laid down by wise ancestors, which are exemplary for the world, continue to find worthy continuation in our country. In this context, the celebrations organized in honor of significant dates, which occupy an important place in the national calendar, reflect the happy life of the Turkmen people and the harmonious development of the Motherland.

The National Leader of the Turkmen people congratulated everyone on the successful completion of 2024 and the celebration of the permanent neutrality of our independent state. The year "The Treasure of Wisdom of Magtymguly Fragi" has been marked by numerous unforgettable events. Ahead of Independence Day, a high-level meeting of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan took place.

Then, the Head of the Apparatus of the Halk Maslahaty, R. Bazarov, informed about the activities of the Council of Elders, upcoming tasks, and ways to successfully implement them. A report was also given on the ongoing propaganda work among the population by the elders of the velayats and the festive events being organized. It was noted that representatives of the older generation actively participate in the public life of the country.

Speaking about the important role of the members of the Council of Elders in the country's activities, Hero-Arkadag emphasized that the elders assist in conveying the key goals of the Halk Maslahaty, the state’s domestic and foreign policies, the promotion of the Foundation’s work, and the upbringing of youth based on national traditions.

Then, the floor was given to the participants of the meeting.

The first speaker was O. Khodjatov, a representative of Ashgabat, who noted that in the era of the Renaissance of the new epoch of a powerful state under the wise leadership of President Serdar Berdymukhammedov, who successfully continues the initiatives of Hero-Arkadag, large-scale work is being carried out aimed at further improving the people’s standard of living. In this regard, gratitude from the residents of the capital was expressed.

Taking the opportunity, O. Khodjatov warmly congratulated the National Leader of the Turkmen people on the publication of the new book “Hakyda göwheri” and on International Neutrality Day. Wishing the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty and the head of state success in their activities for the good of the country and people, the representative of Ashgabat assured that he would make every effort to successfully complete the tasks set.

Next, G. Ayleyev, a representative of the Akhal velayat, expressed heartfelt greetings to Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar from the residents of the region and congratulated them on International Neutrality Day.

It was noted that in the Bäherden etrap, the second phase of the cement plant was put into operation, and 200 passenger buses were donated to the residents of the velayat on behalf of the President of Turkmenistan. Additionally, the city of Anau was declared the cultural capital of the Turkic world for 2024.

Taking this opportunity, the representative of the Akhal velayat warmly congratulated Hero-Arkadag on the publication of the new book “Hakyda göwheri” and noted the significance of the initiatives put forward by the National Leader of the Turkmen people at the “Unified Water” Summit held in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The representative of the Balkan velayat, Y. Atamyradov, conveyed warm greetings from the happy residents of the region and sincerely congratulated the National Leader of the Turkmen people on the publication of the book “Hakyda göwheri” and on International Neutrality Day.

It was noted that in the modern era, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov continues the initiatives of Hero-Arkadag for the further development of the Motherland. The meeting of the head of state with the farmers during a working trip to the Balkan velayat, which inspired the workers of the village for new achievements, the donation of 200 passenger buses to the region, and the commissioning of the high-voltage power line Balkan-Dashoguz are bright evidence of the successful realization of the fundamental principle of Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov: "The state is for the people!"

Taking the opportunity, Y. Atamyradov wished the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Arkadagly Hero Serdar great success in their large-scale activities aimed at ensuring the happy life of the Turkmen people and the prosperity of the Motherland.

Then, E. Talipov from the Lebap velayat, on behalf of the residents of the region, warmly congratulated the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov on the 29th anniversary of permanent neutrality.

It was noted that this year, large-scale work has been carried out in the country, and a number of significant projects have been successfully implemented. Among them is the commissioning of a cement plant in the Koytendag etrap with the participation of the head of state, as well as other important facilities and structures.

E. Talipov assured Hero-Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar that he would spare no effort in glorifying the achievements of our Motherland.

Next, T. Kurbanmetov, a representative of the Dashoguz velayat, expressed deep gratitude to Hero-Arkadag and President Serdar Berdimuhamedov for their care for the well-being of the people.

It was noted that the Charitable Foundation for Assisting Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov makes a great contribution to restoring the health of hundreds of children, which is a clear confirmation of the great attention paid by the National Leader of the Turkmen people to the younger generation.

At the same time, the construction of a settlement for 1,500 households in the region serves as a vivid example of the worthy continuation of Hero-Arkadag’s noble deeds by the President of Turkmenistan.

Continuing the meeting, A. Charyev from the Mary velayat noted that the work carried out in the era of the Renaissance of the new epoch of a powerful state by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, and Arkadagly Hero Serdar serves as a model for the whole world.

It was noted that with the support of the National Leader of the Turkmen people and the President of Turkmenistan, various facilities have been built in the Mary velayat. Additionally, with the participation of the head of state, a section of the Tedszen-Mary high-speed highway of Ashgabat-Turkmenabad has been commissioned.

Thanks to the funds of the Charitable Foundation for Assisting Children in Need of Care named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, assistance was provided to restore the health of young residents of the region. In this regard, deep gratitude was expressed to Hero-Arkadag.

Thanking for the speeches, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty emphasized that the Turkmen people are a people who respect the older generation and deeply honor the ancient spiritual values. Hero-Arkadag emphasized that humanity is a priority direction of the Council's activities.

We never renounce our origin, loyalty to family values, respect for parents and elders, reverence for traditions and patriotism," continued Scholar-Arkadag.

One of the national features is to respect the elderly, listen to their advice, and value their guidance. This, continued Hero-Arkadag, is reflected in my book "Ömrümiň manysynyň dowamaty," where special attention is given to the traditions of our ancestors—consulting with wise elders and making decisions together. Today, this finds practical embodiment in the annual meetings of the Halk Maslahaty in the country, which is a vivid manifestation of the principles of people's democracy.

Respecting the older generation, encouraging it with kind words, is a sign of high humanism. The rich life experience of the elders helps in educating the youth in the spirit of patriotism, reverence for national traditions and customs, strengthening unity and harmony, continued Scholar-Arkadag, emphasizing that representatives of the older generation are an exemplary school for the young. The continuity of these noble traditions reflects the centuries-old historical path of the Turkmen people, which leads to well-being.
