International cooperation in science and education with prestigious foreign universities and companies

The scientific and educational system is a solid basis for including the country in the ranks of economically powerful and industrially developed countries of the world and for further increasing the level of development of our society. In accordance with state policy, great efforts are being made to introduce the latest achievements in science and education, to provide the younger generation with modern education, to train them professionally and orient them towards science and creativity. Ample opportunities are being created for young people to contribute to the country's development in all spheres as a scientifically educated, highly qualified, broad-minded generation that meets world standards. Talented youth is the main force in the realisation of large-scale reforms and promising projects, which are successfully implemented in the country under the leadership of our Arkadagly Serdar. Continuous work is being carried out to improve the activities of scientific and educational institutions, to provide various spheres of industry with the necessary specialists and, above all, to bring international cooperation in the training of highly qualified specialists and scientists in this field to a new level.

On November 13,2024 in the main building of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University “Memorandum of Understanding between Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, Petronas Charigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd and Petronas University of Technology” was signed between the Turkmen side and Petronas Charigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd company.

This Memorandum is the fourth Memorandum on the continuation of mutually beneficial cooperation in the field of science and education between the parties.

In accordance with the educational policy of our Esteemed President, the University has been working closely with prestigious foreign universities, international organizations and companies. Within the framework of the Memorandum of Understanding, extensive cooperation in the field of science and education is being carried out between Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, PETRONAS Charigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd and PETRONAS University of Technology. Professors and lecturers from the Petronas Malaysian University of Technology regularly organise courses on advanced technologies and equipment in the oil and gas industry for the students and young teachers of the university.

In particular, in order to study the experience of foreign companies, in June-July of the current year, the students of the university underwent summer internship at the production facilities of PETRONAS Charigali (Turkmenistan) Sdn Bhd.

Within the framework of the Memorandum and in order to train high-level specialists for the oil and gas complex of Turkmenistan, to study the experience of foreign companies and relevant universities, in August of this year students and teachers of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University underwent practical training and advanced training courses at the Malaysian Technological University Petronas.

The internship at the Malaysian Technological University Petronas was an excellent experience for the students. The industrial practice was of great importance in enriching students' theoretical knowledge with foreign experience.

There was also a meeting of teachers of our university with professors, lecturers and specialists of the Malaysian Technological University Petronas. In addition, our teachers got acquainted with the organisation of educational and methodical work, preparation and implementation of curricula and programmes, research activities, laboratories where research work is carried out and students' involvement in research activities, as well as the introduction of digital technologies in the educational system.

From November 11-15, 2024, four professors from the Centre for Vocational Education and Professional Development of the Malaysian Technological University Petronas visited our university and held 4 lectures.

A total of 80 students and 20 young teachers from the university attended the lectures. The teachers who participated in the training were awarded international certificates.

We sincerely express our great gratitude to our Esteemed President and Hero Arkadag for their tireless efforts in developing the work of educational institutions, in training high-level specialists, for their constant care for the younger generation and for the opportunities and conditions created. We wish our Arkadagly Serdar and our Hero Arkadag health, long life and success in important state affairs for the benefit of the people and our country!
