The Japanese Edition of the Esteemed President's Book "Youth — The Pillar of the Nation" Presented

On December 18, the Japanese edition of President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov’s book "Ýaşlar – Watanyň daýanjy" ("Youth — The Pillar of the Nation") was presented at the Institute of International Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the capital. This deeply insightful work by the head of state is dedicated to Turkmen youth, who achieve remarkable success in various fields and contribute significantly to the prosperity of their beloved Homeland.

The book, first published in December last year and cherished by Turkmenistan’s younger generation, has also garnered great interest internationally. Its translation into Japanese, completed in collaboration with the University of Tsukuba, reflects the traditionally friendly relations between Turkmenistan and Japan. Notably, this university also facilitated the translation and publication of "The Meaning of My Life's Continuation", a literary and philosophical work by the National Leader of the Turkmen people and Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov. That book was published in Japanese in January this year.

The presentation event was attended by representatives of Turkmenistan's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, local and foreign diplomatic corps, international organizations in the country, professors, students from higher education institutions, and the media. Also present was a delegation led by Hiroyuki Tsubai, a member of the Board of Directors and Executive Vice President of Itochu Corporation, President of the Machinery and Equipment Division, and Chairman of the Turkmen-Japanese Economic Cooperation Committee. Earlier this week, the 15th meeting of this Committee was held in Ashgabat.

In their speeches, participants highlighted the ever-expanding intergovernmental dialogue enriched by mutual goodwill. A vital aspect of this traditional cooperation is the humanitarian sector, marked by years of fruitful collaboration in science, education, and culture. In this context, the Japanese edition of "Ýaşlar – Watanyň daýanjy" provides readers in the Land of the Rising Sun with an opportunity to explore Turkmenistan's state policy priorities, which emphasize comprehensive care for the younger generation. The fact that President Serdar Berdimuhamedov dedicated his first work to this theme underscores his deep attention to youth as the foundation and future of the nation.

In Turkmenistan, comprehensive efforts are made to ensure the harmonious development of young people, who enjoy optimal conditions for modern education, professional growth, scientific research, intellectual advancement, and creative pursuits. This is supported by a robust legal framework and targeted programs. These initiatives continue the noble efforts of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov.

Actively involved in state and societal affairs, Turkmen youth also play a prominent role in international cooperation, proudly representing their independent and neutral Homeland on the global stage. This aligns with the "Strategy for International Youth Cooperation of Turkmenistan for 2023–2030."

The event highlighted the dynamic Turkmen-Japanese ties in education, which have gained new momentum in recent years. Examples include established partnerships between Turkmenistan’s universities, such as the Institute of International Relations and the Oguz Han Engineering and Technology University, and leading Japanese institutions. It is noteworthy that the Japanese language is taught in several Turkmen schools and universities.

The book "Ýaşlar – Watanyň daýanjy" is also relevant in methodological and educational contexts. It allows Japanese readers to learn about the wise traditions of youth education cultivated by the Turkmen people over centuries, emphasizing patriotism, humanism, and high moral values.

Emphasizing that this remarkable work contributes to understanding the role of youth in the modern world and in building a strong and prosperous state, participants extended their best wishes to President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and National Leader Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

Thus, the Japanese edition of the book "Ýaşlar – Watanyň daýanjy" by the head of Turkmenistan will further strengthen and develop the friendly and fruitful relations between the two countries and their peoples.
