During the official visit of the President of Turkmenistan to Malaysia, a  number ofagreements in the education sector were signed

Malaysia is one of Turkmenistan's major partners in the region of Southeast Asia. Diplomatic relations between the two countries were established on May 17, 1992.  In terms of developing multifaceted relations with countries in the Southeast Asia, Turkmenistan is strengthening its traditional cooperation with Malaysia. The relationship between the two countries is based on the principles of mutual respect. In this context, trade-economic and educational cooperation are characterized by positive dynamics of development. Malaysia, which is among the rapidly developing countries of the region, is a reliable partner for Turkmenistan. Education is also a priority area of cooperation.

As part of the official visit of the esteemed President of Turkmenistan members of the Turkmen government delegation held meetings with their, Malaysian partners in Kuala Lumpur. During these meetings, the key issues of bilateral cooperation in various fields were discussed. In the course of the constructive meetings, the sides noted the positive dynamics of the development of Turkmen-Malaysian relations. The agenda of the bilateral meetings included important issues related to the development of cooperation in the political-diplomatic, energy, trade-economic, agricultural, scientific, educational, cultural-humanitarian, and transport-communication sectors.

Following the negotiations, a broad package of documents was signed. These include the Memorandum of Understanding between the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute and the Tenaga University of Malaysia; the Memorandum of Understanding between the State Energy Institute of Turkmenistan and the Tenaga University of Malaysia; the Memorandum of Understanding between the Turkmen State Architecture and Construction Institute and the Sunway University of Malaysia; the Memorandum of Understanding between the Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management and the Sunway University of Malaysia; the Memorandum of Understanding between the Institute of Engineering and Transport Communications of Turkmenistan and the Sunway University of Malaysia; the Memorandum of Understanding between the International University of Humanities and Development and the Malaysian University.

These agreements are part of efforts to develop science and education through global mutual understanding. The results of the official visit of the esteemed Arkadagly Hero Serdar  to Malaysia clearly demonstrated that they are aimed at further strengthening the equal, mutually beneficial, and long-term intergovernmental relations between the two countries.

Taking this opportunity, we express our endless gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, esteemed Hero Arkadag, and esteemed President Arkadagly Hero Serdar for the opportunities provided for cooperation with prestigious world-class higher educational institutions. We sincerely wish Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar long life, health, and success for the prosperity of our country!
