A Ceremonial Event Was Held

On December 21, a ceremonial event was held at Magtymguly Turkmen State University to mark the 7th anniversary of the adoption of the “Concept for Improving the Teaching of Foreign Languages in Turkmenistan.”
The “Concept for Improving the Teaching of Foreign Languages in Turkmenistan,” approved by the Decree of the President of Turkmenistan on December 22, 2017, along with the Action Plan for its implementation, has become the organizational and legal basis for teaching foreign languages in the educational institutions of our country.
The speakers spoke about the work carried out at Magtymguly Turkmen State University to implement the language policy within the framework of this Concept, about implementing the policy of teaching three languages introduced by Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar in the education system. They also mentioned the extensive use of new technologies and technical means in the learning process, the provision of these resources with modern informational materials, the study of the experiences of prestigious educational institutions of the world and their methodological guides, the preparation of electronic dictionaries, and booklets featuring Turkmen folk tales in foreign languages.
During the event, students of Magtymguly Turkmen State University performed a song based on Hero Arkadag’s poem “Long Live Peaceful Life!” They also presented a literary-musical composition titled “The Ocean of Wisdom—Magtymguly Pyragy,” dedicated to the 300th anniversary of the great poet and thinker. Songs in foreign languages were performed, and the university’s cultural center “Bagtyarlyk Owazlary” presented the dance “Friendship” and recited Magtymguly’s poem “Beautiful Shirgazy” in Turkmen and English.
The participants of the event expressed gratitude and appreciation to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and Honorable President Arkadagly Hero Serdar for their work in developing science, education, youth policy, strengthening friendly and brotherly relations among nations, and leading our independent Homeland to new heights of progress.
