New Year Gifts for Children at the State Children's Palace

On January 1, during the New Year celebration held in the festively decorated hall of the "Döwletliler köşgi" Palace, gifts were presented to its children on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

One of the primary goals of the Revival of a New Era of a Powerful State is the harmonious upbringing of the younger generation. It is during childhood that fundamental qualities of character, moral values, love for the Motherland, respect for national traditions, and adherence to ancestral principles are formed. Comprehensive and consistent work in this direction is being carried out in Turkmenistan.

As is known, among the priorities of state policy under the leadership of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov, based on internationally recognized legal norms and humanitarian principles, is the improvement of the health of young Turkmen citizens being raised and educated in orphanages, specialized schools, and boarding schools, as well as providing them with access to quality education.

Special attention is given to young citizens in need of extra care. Over the centuries, the Turkmen people have developed clear criteria for such care. These traditions are now reflected in a set of legal guarantees for protection and other targeted measures aimed at their social adaptation, support, and preparation for independent life.

As noted by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, at the meeting of the Board of the Charitable Foundation named after Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov for the Support of Children in Need of Care, held on December 7, 2024, the Turkmen people have long-standing humanitarian traditions of surrounding children with comprehensive care and love. Turkmens have always exhibited great affection and devotion to children. Following the principles of humanity and support for children and teenagers left without parental care, they are given special attention and care in independent and neutral Turkmenistan.

"No child in the country is left without a guardian. The state stands firmly behind them. Comprehensive measures are consistently taken at the state level to create favorable conditions for the holistic development of children and their full participation in society. We approach the destiny of children in need of support with great responsibility and care, ensuring their happy future. These children are the focus of attention in our country, and all conditions are created for them to feel like full-fledged members of the large and friendly Turkmen society," said Hero-Arkadag.

In this regard, independent and neutral Turkmenistan can rightly be called a country of happy childhood, where cherished dreams come true.

Today, a festive atmosphere reigns around the grand Christmas tree. The children of the "Döwletliler köşgi" Palace were congratulated on the New Year by Ayaz Baba, Garpamyk, the symbol of the year 2025 – the Snake, as well as representatives of the Mejlis, Halk Maslahaty, and several ministries, departments, and public organizations.

In our independent Motherland, extensive work is being carried out under the care of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to nurture a harmonious generation that is intellectually developed, physically strong, and spiritually rich, fully unlocking its multifaceted talents.

At the Palace, children not only gain knowledge but also acquire various professions, allowing them to confidently step into adult life after finishing school. They explore the world of fine arts and music, participate in various sports sections and clubs, and many are laureates of prestigious creative competitions and international festivals held in Turkmenistan and abroad. Among them is the laureate of the Gulbaba Children's Prize, the dance ensemble "Joşgun."

The young talents demonstrated their creative abilities at today's celebration, performing a concert program for the guests.

Near the green beauty decorated with tinsel and lights, they enthusiastically recited poems, performed lively dances, and sang inspiring songs glorifying their beloved Homeland, the President of Turkmenistan, and the New Year holiday.

The children concluded their performances by dancing around the tree together with Ayaz Baba, Garpamyk, and characters from Turkmen folklore and world fairy tales.

Then, to the immense delight of the children, gifts, including interactive educational tools, were presented on behalf of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty, Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

At the end of the celebration, the children of the "Döwletliler köşgi" Palace expressed their deep gratitude to the head of state and Hero-Arkadag for their happy and peaceful childhood, constant care, and attention, as well as their warmest wishes and New Year greetings.
