Forest Inventory

The textbook "Forest Inventory" explains the concepts of forest accounting, methods of forest evaluation, the process of studying tree composition in the forests of our country, and the procedures for conducting all types of inventory measurements. It also outlines the measurement units used, as well as the foundations for comprehensive evaluation of forest resources.

The book covers the importance of forest inventory in Turkmenistan's forestry, the goals and tasks of forest inventory, the procedures for tree inventory, methods for calculating the volume of timber, and the system of forest inventory based on the measurements of tree height, age, and growth assessment. It also discusses improving the forest accounting system based on inventory practices.

The primary goal of the "Forest Inventory" course is to teach students the theoretical and practical aspects of studying the composition of tree and shrub species, evaluating their resources, conducting inventory measurements, and using inventory units. The course also focuses on methods of forest resource monitoring, including the condition of both standing and felled trees.

This textbook is intended for students in higher education and specialized institutions, as well as professionals in forestry, ecology, and those working in forest accounting, cadastre, and monitoring.
