Schoolchildren Achieved Great Success at the XXI International Zhautykov Olympiad

Under the wise leadership of our esteemed President, during the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State, all necessary conditions have been created in our country for the younger generation to receive modern education and engage in scientific and creative activities. Fundamental educational reforms are being implemented. Significant achievements have been made in building modern educational institutions in Ashgabat, Arkadag, and other regions of our country. These institutions are equipped with modern textbooks, guides, advanced technologies meeting international standards, as well as cutting-edge computer and multimedia devices, ensuring the harmonious and comprehensive development of our society and state.

As part of the esteemed President’s educational reforms, measures are successfully implemented in our country’s general education schools to provide high-quality teaching of academic subjects, develop students’ natural talents, nurture advanced youth with broad horizons, encourage them to engage in science and creativity actively, and orient them towards various professions. Thanks to the visionary initiatives and extensive support of Hero Arkadag Serdar, national and international competitions are held in our country, and wide opportunities are created for happy youth to actively participate in international subject-based Olympiads.

In line with the esteemed President’s social policy aimed at achieving the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals, particularly the goal of “Quality Education,” large-scale work is being carried out in the national education system. Specifically, the material and technical base of educational institutions is being strengthened, teaching methodologies are being improved, and information technologies are being widely used. According to the demands of the time, subjects like mathematics, physics, and computer science are taught in-depth to develop logical thinking and intellectual skills in the younger generation. The network of schools specializing in exact sciences is also expanding.

Inspired by the motto of the esteemed President, “The achievements of our youth are the prestige of our state, the pride of our people,” the happy students of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State actively participate in national and international competitions, making a significant contribution to raising the prestige of our country at the global level.

From January 13 to 17, 2025, the XXI International Zhautykov Olympiad in mathematics, physics, and computer science was held in Astana under the auspices of the “Daryn” Scientific and Practical Center of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Twenty-one talented students from Turkmenistan competed with over 700 students from 15 countries. Inspired by pride in their beloved homeland, the Hero-Arkadag, and the National Leader Arkadag, our talented students performed successfully, winning 2 gold, 4 silver, and 6 bronze medals. Since 2010, thanks to the care of the National Leader Arkadag, our schoolchildren have regularly participated in this prestigious competition and achieved high results. Over the years, they have won 3 gold, 14 silver, and 34 bronze medals in mathematics, 1 gold, 3 silver, and 14 bronze in physics, and 3 silver and 12 bronze in computer science.

At the 2025 Olympiad:

• In mathematics, the gold medal was won by Hamza Allaberdiyev, a 12th-grade student of Specialized School No. 135 in Ashgabat. Silver medals were awarded to Maksat Babageldiyev, Rahym Agamyradov (School No. 86), and Begench Akmyradov (School No. 49). Bronze medals went to Myaliksha Meylismyradov, Begli Ishanmyradov, Sanjar Hojaniyazov, Murat Ruslanov, and Hudayguly Hudayberenov.

• In physics, the gold medal was won by Jumadurdy Nuryyev, a 12th-grade student of the Saparmurat Turkmenbashy Specialized Boarding School in Ashgabat. The silver medal went to Dowlet Annamyradov from School No. 43 in Mary velayat.

• In computer science, the bronze medal was won by Yhlas Amanmyradov (School No. 86).

The Turkmenistan national team secured 8th place in the overall standings, which clearly confirms that the modern approach to continuously improving teaching methods—focused on developing students’ practical skills and abilities, fostering contemporary theoretical and practical knowledge, and shaping scientific perspectives—aligns with the tasks outlined in the esteemed President’s historic decree, the “Concept for Improving the Methodology of Teaching General Education Programs in Turkmenistan until 2028.” This supports the younger generation’s successful performances in national and international intellectual competitions and Olympiads.

This joyful news, coming in the early days of 2025, declared by the United Nations as the International Year of Peace and Trust and coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality, is a concrete result and a remarkable success of the consistent care of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero Arkadag, and the esteemed President in educating knowledgeable, intellectually advanced, and patriotic youth.

Today, the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan held a ceremony to present valuable gifts to the schoolchildren who successfully performed at this international Olympiad on behalf of the esteemed President and Hero Arkadag. Speakers at the event highlighted that the successful performances of students, who represent our Motherland with dignity in various parts of the world at international Olympiads, scientific, and creative competitions, demonstrate the high effectiveness of the esteemed Head of State’s educational policy and large-scale educational reforms. The contest winners expressed sincere gratitude to Hero Arkadagly Serdar for creating broad opportunities to participate in international educational competitions and to National Leader Arkadag for his fatherly care.

The students stated that during 2025, they would actively participate in the Caucasus Mathematical Olympiad, the International Mendeleev Chemistry Olympiad, the 42nd Balkan Mathematical Olympiad, the 66th International Mathematical Olympiad, the 25th Asian Physics Olympiad, the 55th International Physics Olympiad, the Tashkent International Mathematical Olympiad, the Al-Khwarizmi International Olympiad for Youth, the 9th European Physics Olympiad, the International Chemistry Olympiad, the International Biology Olympiad, the International Informatics Olympiad, the International Astronomy and Astrophysics Olympiad, and other international educational competitions, further elevating Turkmenistan’s prestige on the international stage.

The achievements of the Revival of the New Era of the Powerful State clearly demonstrate that the national education system is developing and improving in accordance with global standards. The remarkable successes, recognized as proof that our country is becoming one of the leading states in the world in the field of education, thanks to the exemplary efforts of the esteemed President and Hero Arkadag, inspire education workers to work diligently and encourage our happy youth, who are our future, to acquire new knowledge and sciences.
