The United Arab Emirates maintains its leading position in mobile internet speed for December 2024, boasting an impressive average speed of 453.87 Mbps.
This is according to the monthly Speedtest Global Index, which compares mobile and fixed broadband internet speeds across various countries worldwide.
The UAE's success is attributed to active investments in telecommunications infrastructure and the implementation of 5G technologies.
In second place is Qatar with 383.75 Mbps, also due to significant investments in digitalization and the improvement of network infrastructure. Kuwait completes the top three with a score of 257.30 Mbps. These countries demonstrate how government support and private investment can lead to a significant improvement in the quality of internet services.
The figures are based on data from the Speedtest tool. Millions of people use it every day to assess the quality of their connection. These user-initiated tests reflect real-world usage and provide the most accurate and unbiased indicators.
