he 37th meeting of the Advisory Council on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Population of the CIS member states began its work in the capital's Yyldyz hotel.

The meeting, held in a hybrid format, is attended by representatives of authorized bodies and experts from the member countries of the Commonwealth of Independent States: the Republic of Azerbaijan, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and the Republic of Uzbekistan, as well as representatives of the Interparliamentary Assembly of the CIS Member States, the Interstate Statistical Committee, Eurasian Economic Commission, Coordinating Council of the International Union "Commonwealth of Public Organizations of Veterans (Pensioners) Independent States" and the CIS Executive Committee.

As noted in the speeches, over the three decades of its work, the Advisory Council, contributing to the successful implementation of the social policy of the Commonwealth states, has made a significant contribution to strengthening multilateral cooperation in the social and labor sphere, the formation of a common labor market, and the development of related infrastructure.

Independent, neutral Turkmenistan, being an associate member of the CIS, actively cooperates with the Commonwealth in various fields, striving to contribute to the development of a productive partnership.

This is evidenced by the interested participation of the Turkmen side in the events and meetings, including at the highest level.

It should be recalled that it was thanks to the initiative put forward by the National Leader of the Turkmen people Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov at the CIS Summit in October 2017 that the Declaration on Strategic Economic Cooperation of the Commonwealth member states was developed. This document, unanimously adopted at the meeting of the Council of CIS Heads of State held in Ashgabat in October 2019, has become a reliable basis for further progressive expansion of traditional trade and economic ties.

A number of important issues were put on the agenda of the current meeting of the Advisory Council on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Population, which once again confirmed the commitment of the parties to strengthen and expand multi-format cooperation.

In particular, information was heard on the implementation of the decisions of the previous, 36th meeting of the Advisory Council, held last September in Sochi (Russian Federation); on the results of cooperation between the CIS member states in the social and labor sphere (2022-2024) and tasks for the future; on the situation in the social and labor sphere in Russia Commonwealth countries, etc.

As the presiding party, Turkmenistan presented the great achievements of our country in the implementation of social policy, which is built in strict accordance with the main provisions of the Constitution, proclaiming the human being as the highest value of society and the state.

The members of the Advisory Council noted with satisfaction the coherence of the actions taken, the existence of a solid legal framework and political will to strengthen long-term successful cooperation, which opens up good prospects for the implementation of new joint projects.

The participants of the meeting expressed confidence that all the initiatives voiced during today's meeting and the decisions taken on them will contribute to the implementation of a coordinated policy of the CIS member states in the social and labor sphere, will give a powerful impetus to active integration and expansion of mutually beneficial partnership in the Commonwealth on a long-term, systematic basis.

At the same time, the need for constant exchange of accumulated positive experience, as well as close cooperation with other bodies of sectoral cooperation of the CIS on issues of mutual interest was emphasized.

Tomorrow, the 37th meeting of the Advisory Council on Labor, Employment and Social Protection of the Population of the member States of the Commonwealth of Independent States will continue its work.
