"Türkmenpoçta" to join the International digital system

On January 24, during a Cabinet of Ministers meeting in Turkmenistan, the Director General of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers, M. Chakyev, reported on the ongoing efforts to enhance partnerships with international organizations aimed at advancing digitalization in the communications sector.
It was noted that Turkmenistan has been a member of the Universal Postal Union (UPU) since 1993. The UPU provides for the use of the "International Postal System" (IPS) digital platform by all postal operators to streamline international mail exchange operations. The system includes software that allows for the efficient management of mail and the exchange of electronic data.
Approving the proposal for the inclusion of the "Türkmenpoçta" postal service, part of the "Türkmenaragatnaşyk" agency, into the international digital system of the Universal Postal Union, the President instructed the head of the Agency to carry out the necessary work in this regard.
