Visit of the Expert from Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages to Study the British Education System

Myrat Malikov, expert from the Dovletmammet Azadi Turkmen National Institute of World Languages, participated in the Professional Development Program organized by the Norwich Institute for Language Education (NILE) in Norwich, England, from January 26th to February 1st, 2025.

This program, attended by 26 teachers from Central Asia, was designed to provide detailed study of the British education system, school management, and strategic approaches to developing inclusivity.

Within the program, interactive lessons on improving the effectiveness of the education system, supporting schools, and assisting students with special educational needs were conducted. Presentations on the work experience of Special Educational Coordinator (SENCOs) who coordinate the work of students with special needs were made and participants were introduced to the effective approaches based on the “Education, Health and Care Plan” (EHCP) and Alternative Provision (AP).

From February 1st to February 8th, 2025, the expert of the Institute participated in the “English Language and Inclusion” project at Nottingham Trent University (NTU) as a part of the commitment to advancing professional development and education of the higher educational institution. This project includes awareness among teachers about inclusive teaching methods, supporting diverse learners, and providing an understanding of promoting equality in English language education.

Within the framework of this project, workshops and trainings on practical methods of managing an inclusive classroom, general training sessions for specialists working in this field, attending university classes to observe and study inclusive education, and discussions among teachers from Great Britain and Central Asia were organized.

This project aligns with the goals of the Institute on improving English language teaching and inclusivity, and ensuring that students of all levels receive a high-quality education. The knowledge gained from it will be a valuable resource for developing our existing educational approaches.
