The Torch Relay for the 9th Winter Asian Games began in Harbin, China, on February 3, 2025.
This significant event will involve 120 torchbearers who will carry the flame over 11 kilometers through the picturesque streets of the city. The lighting ceremony took place at the "Sun Island" National Park, where the theme of the torch, "Impulse," was revealed, symbolizing the vitality of the Winter Asian Games. This event not only highlights athletic achievements but also emphasizes the cultural heritage and natural beauty of Harbin.
The head of the torchbearer group, Li Na, stated that their task is to organize a safe and spectacular event, which will serve as a symbol of the Olympic spirit and a century of history.
The 9th Winter Asian Games will take place from February 7 to 14, 2025, with athletes competing in 11 sports for 64 sets of medals.
