Delegation of Turkmenistan conveyed an invitation to the President of Ethiopia

A delegation from Turkmenistan, headed by the Chairman of the Democratic Party, Ata Serdarov, visited Addis Ababa from January 31st to February 2nd at the invitation of the leadership of the ruling party of Ethiopia - the "Prosperity Party" to participate in its 2nd Congress.

Speaking at the event, Ata Serdarov acquainted the congress participants with the political work of the Democratic Party of Turkmenistan and called on the Ethiopian side to establish ties between the two parties. On the sidelines of the Congress, a short meeting was held between the delegation of Turkmenistan and the leaders of the "Prosperity Party".

A meeting was also held between the delegation of Turkmenistan and the State Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ethiopia, Misganu Arga Moach. The possibilities of giving a new impetus to bilateral cooperation were considered. The State Minister was presented with an official invitation on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan to the upcoming Forum of the International Year of Peace and Trust, addressed to the President of Ethiopia.

The Turkmen delegation was received by the President of Ethiopia, Taye Atske-Selassie. At the meeting, greetings were conveyed on behalf of the leadership of Turkmenistan. The President of Ethiopia expressed deep gratitude for the warm greetings and wishes addressed to him, and asked to convey reciprocal friendly greetings to the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov.

President Taye Atske-Selassie also expressed gratitude for the invitation to the International Forum in Ashgabat, according to a press release from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.
