At the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Belarus on Monday, February 3rd, a meeting took place between Ambassador Nazarguly Shagulyev and the Rector of Polesie State University, Valery Dunay.
During the meeting, special attention was paid to the development of educational cooperation and the expansion of interaction. Rector Dunay provided detailed information about the quality of the educational process at the university, located in the city of Pinsk, Brest Region. According to him, the current total number of students at Polesie State University is 3,215 students, 80 of whom are students from foreign countries, including 19 citizens of Turkmenistan.
Specialists are trained at the university in 11 departments of 5 faculties (Economics and Finance, Biotechnology, Engineering, Healthy Lifestyle Organization, and Continuing Education). In addition, the university provides higher education in 18 specialties (Economics and Management, Finance and Credit, Business Administration, Engineering Economics, Biotechnology, Information Systems and Technologies, Aquatic Bioresources and Aquaculture, Landscape Design and Construction, Physical Culture, and others).
Nazarguly Shagulyev noted that educational cooperation plays an important role in strengthening friendly relations between countries. The Ambassador also emphasized that increasing the number of students, improving their learning and living conditions, as well as the exchange of academic experience, contribute to strengthening mutual trust and cultural dialogue, which is an important step for the development of bilateral relations in the long term.
