A Scientific Conference Dedicated to the "International Year of Peace and Trust" Was Held in Turkey

On February 7, 2025, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Turkey, together with Ahi Evran University in Kırşehir, organized a scientific conference marking the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality and the proclamation of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust." This was reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan.

The event was attended by the Governor of Kırşehir Province, Murat Sefu Demiryürek, the Rector of Ahi Evran University, Professor Mustafa Kazim Karahocagil, as well as representatives of public and political organizations, the creative and scientific community of Turkey, student youth, and the media.

In their speeches, the participants of the conference noted that the resolution adopted by the United Nations General Assembly at the initiative of Turkmenistan — "International Year of Peace and Trust – 2025" — has become the practical embodiment of the international relations philosophy "Dialogue – Guarantee of Peace," declared by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov.

As part of the event, an exhibition of books by the President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdymukhammedov and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Gurbanguly Berdymukhammedov was organized.

After the conference, the Embassy of Turkmenistan in the Republic of Turkey donated copies of books by the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero-Arkadag, published in Turkish, to the library collection of Ahi Evran University.

On the same day, a photo exhibition dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality and the proclamation of 2025 as the "International Year of Peace and Trust" opened in Kırşehir Province, Republic of Turkey.

The grand opening of the exhibition, organized by the Embassy of Turkmenistan in Turkey and Ahi Evran University of Kırşehir, was attended by renowned creative figures, representatives of public organizations, media from Turkey, and student youth.

A special impression was made on the exhibition guests by the panoramic photographs presented, which reflected the success and thoughtfulness of the urban development policies of the President of Turkmenistan and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, aimed at improving the quality of life, creating full-fledged conditions for work and leisure for the people.
