Today, on February 10, Magtymguly Turkmen State University launched training sessions for lecturers on second-semester courses with the participation of UNICEF’s international social work consultant, Dr. Salome Namicheishvili, an associate professor at Tbilisi State University and head of the bachelor’s program in social work.
The training, held at the Faculty of Chemistry building, was attended by Aysenem Agabaeva, UNICEF’s lead specialist in social policy, as well as faculty members from the university’s Departments of Psychology and Social Sciences, representatives of the Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Population, and social work specialists from Ashgabat.
The session, titled “Methods of Social Work – Innovative Approaches to Teaching Social Work Methods”, aimed to enhance the professional skills of educators and improve the quality of education.
The goal of the training sessions, which will take place at Magtymguly Turkmen State University from February 10 to 12, is to support national specialists in developing social work curricula and implementing new teaching methodologies.
