Solemn musical conference on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of the establishment of the UNESCO Chair

On February 19, a solemn musical conference was held entitled “The Policy of Peace and Trust of Permanently Neutral Turkmenistan - the Basis of Cultural and Humanitarian Cooperation” dedicated to the International Year of Peace and Trust, the 30th anniversary of Neutrality of Turkmenistan, as well as the 2nd anniversary of the establishment of the UNESCO Chair “Cultural Heritage: From the Past to the Future” at our university.
The solemn conference was attended by the Executive Secretary of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), Hero of Turkmenistan Chynar Rustemova, professors, teachers, students of the university, members of the UNESCO Chair “Cultural Heritage: From the Past to the Future”, representatives of UNESCO clubs of higher educational institutions of our country. The conference featured speeches on the achievements of Turkmenistan in its cooperation with UNESCO, the significance of the establishment of the UNESCO Chair “Cultural Heritage: From the Past to the Future”, the work carried out by the members of this Chair over the past two years, the results of scientific research, work on the promotion of national heritage, and the main tasks ahead.
During the ceremony, active members of the UNESCO Chair “Cultural Heritage: From the Past to the Future” of Magtymguly Turkmen State University, who actively participate in cultural events, scientific and practical conferences, and competitions held within the framework of the Chair and make a worthy contribution to the scientific study, preservation, and promotion of our national heritage, historical and natural monuments, were awarded with Letters of Honor from the Secretariat of the National Commission of Turkmenistan for the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).
At the solemn conference, singers and a group of dutar players of the Cultural Center “Bagtyyarlyk Owazlary” of Magtymguly Turkmen State University performed songs glorifying our epoch. An exhibition of works by our Hero-Arkadag and our Arkadagly Hero Serdar, as well as projects prepared by students depicting our glorious history and national heritage, was organized at the venue of the ceremony.
