The main achievements of Turkmen-Chinese cooperation have been discussed

On February 20, 2025, a meeting was held between the Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the People’s Republic of China P.Durdyev and the Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs of the People’s Republic of China Liu Bin. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.

The parties noted that the Turkmen-Chinese relations of comprehensive strategic partnership are developing dynamically in a wide range of areas and that contacts at the highest level play a decisive role in enhancing bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

During the meeting, the main achievements of the Turkmen-Chinese partnership over the past year were considered.

P.Durdyev noted that, at the initiative of Turkmenistan, the UN General Assembly unanimously adopted a resolution declaring 2025 the “International Year of Peace and Trust”. It was emphasized that this year also marks the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality. In this regard, the Ambassador handed over to Liu Bin official invitation letters on behalf of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan to the International Forum of Peace and Trust, addressed to the Chairman of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping, Premier of the State Council Li Qiang and Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress Zhao Leji.

At the end of the meeting, the parties expressed their readiness to further strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation.
