On February 5, as part of the working visit of the Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan to the Republic of Turkey, a meeting was held with the President of the Republic of Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
During the meeting, the Chairman of the Mejlis of Turkmenistan conveyed friendly greetings and best wishes from the esteemed President of Turkmenistan, Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan. An official invitation was also extended to participate in an international forum to be held at a high level in Ashgabat in honor of the significant 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s permanent neutrality and within the framework of the "Year of International Peace and Trust."
The Turkmen side emphasized that the Turkmen and Turkish peoples share historical roots, cultural, and spiritual commonalities dating back to ancient times. Today, these relations continue to develop successfully in all directions based on mutual respect, trust, and equality, enriched with new content.
It was also highlighted that broad, equal, and mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries places great importance on their interaction within the international legal system. It was noted that these ties contribute to further strengthening the friendship and brotherhood between the peoples and supporting interstate cooperation through parliamentary diplomacy.
