The high authority of Turkmenistan in the world of sports clearly demonstrates that special attention is paid to this area under the leadership of our esteemed President, Arkadagly Hero Serdar. Championships in our country are held at a high organizational level.
Effective work is being carried out at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University to widely involve young people in physical education and sports, and to promote a healthy lifestyle.
From February 18 to 22, 2025, declared the Year of "International year of peace and trust", boxing competitions were held within the framework of the XIV Universiade among students of higher educational institutions of our country "Turkmenistan - the Land of Spirituality and Health".
In this competition, students of our university, namely Mukhammetdurdyev Mustapa in the 92 kg weight category took 1st place, Shihimov Makhmut in the 75 kg weight category took 2nd place, Mammedshayev Davut in the 80 kg weight category took 3rd place, Nurakhmedov Shokhrat in the 92 kg weight category took 3rd place and Ashirbayev Parakhat in the 57 kg weight category took 3rd place.
These achievements clearly demonstrate the successful implementation of the tasks set to take sports in our country to new heights.
