Last week, secondary schools in Ashgabat and the regions of Turkmenistan hosted the French Language Olympiad.
As part of the events dedicated to Francophonie 2025, the annual dictation took place at specialized school No. 4 in the capital, conducted by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of France to Turkmenistan, Philippe Merlin, and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Romania to Turkmenistan, Ion Naval.
The theme of Francophonie 2025 is "30 Years of French Language Teaching in Turkmenistan". Throughout March, a series of events are planned across the country to promote the French language and culture.
