The grand opening of the advanced training courses "Lu Ban Workshop" for teachers of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University

In a joint statement by Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China, adopted during the state visit of the Esteemed President of Turkmenistan to the People's Republic of China in 2023, a proposal was put forward to advance the implementation of the Lu Ban Workshop project in Turkmenistan.

In this regard, in 2024, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Xi'an (People's Republic of China) between the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas, Xi'an Shiyou University, Hebei Petroleum Vocational and Technical University, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and the China Association for International Educational Exchange on the establishment of the "Lu Ban Workshop" in Turkmenistan.

The opening ceremony and working meeting of the advanced training courses "The opening ceremony and working meeting of the advanced training courses "Lu Ban Workshop" were held at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University with the participation of representatives of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, Deputy Secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of the People's Republic of China, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Turkmenistan, the Turkmen branch of the Chinese company CNPC, Xi'an Shiyou University, Hebei Petroleum Vocational and Technical University and Shaanxi Vocational and Technical College. During the meeting, the delegation of the People's Republic of China was acquainted with the structure of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas, its academic buildings, research and training centers, laboratories, specialties and areas of study at the university, and scientific research.

During the meeting, issues of cooperation on the project of construction and installation works of Lu Ban's workshop, equipping laboratory equipment, as well as preparation for the grand opening of advanced training courses for teachers in the bachelor's degree programs "Geology and exploration of mineral resources" and "Information systems and technologies (in the oil and gas industry)" at the university, selection and admission of talented students (graduates) graduating from Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University in 2025, for studying at Xi'an Shiyou University in the master's program under a joint curriculum, comprehensive study of regions and individual countries of the world were discussed.

At the end of the opening ceremony of the advanced training courses and business meeting, the participants of the meeting expressed gratitude to our Hero Arkadagly Serdar and Hero Arkadag for the opportunities created for cooperation in the scientific and educational sphere and exchange of experience with prestigious foreign universities, companies and research centers.
