Construction of the High-Speed Ashgabat — Turkmenabad Road is Progressing at a High Level

Currently, the construction of the high-speed Ashgabat — Turkmenabad road, in the section from Mary to Turkmenabad, has seen the completion of the first layer of asphalt. The construction of the second layer is also nearing completion, and a significant portion of the road has already been paved with the third layer of asphalt. At the same time, builders continue to work on the construction of a protective strip in the middle of the road.
The first layer of asphalt is being laid with a thickness of 10 cm, the second layer with 7 cm, and the third layer with 5 cm. Prior to this, the road is being prepared with soil and four layers of geotextile, as well as several types of special coatings that meet international standards. The road will have three lanes in one direction and one emergency lane, and in both directions, it will have a total of eight lanes with a total width of 34.5 meters.
Hundreds of units of modern equipment are being used for the construction of the road.
