Turkmen students achieved notable success at the Mathematical Olympiad

Education and science are fundamental tools for understanding the world. Humanity, through scientific research and exploration, not only gains self-awareness but also strives for progress. Education, scientific pursuit, and the dissemination of knowledge are esteemed endeavors. Historically, Turkmen ancestors demonstrated a profound thirst for knowledge, evidenced by the flourishing madrassas, schools, renowned libraries, and educational institutions that once thrived on Turkmen soil.

In the era of the Revival of a new epoch of a powerful state, the future of national science and education, prioritized by state policy, is increasingly promising. Under the wise leadership of Arkadagly Hero Serdar, building upon the large-scale reforms initiated by Hero-Arkadag, the domestic education system provides wide opportunities for the younger generation to participate in international scientific and creative competitions, cultivate their talents, and enhance their skills.

During the "International Year of Peace and Trust," coinciding with the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan's permanent neutrality, our nation has achieved significant advancements across various sectors, including science and education. Recently, Turkmen students excelled at the 19th South Eastern European Mathematical Olympiad for University Students "SEEMOUS-2025," held from March 2 to 10 in Korca, Republic of Albania. The Olympiad featured over 150 students from 35 higher education institutions in Turkmenistan, Albania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Romania, Greece, and North Macedonia. Turkmen teams from the International University for the Humanities and Development, Magtymguly Turkmen State University, Oguz Khan University of Engineering and Technology of Turkmenistan, Turkmen State Institute of Architecture and Construction, Institute of Telecommunications and Informatics of Turkmenistan, Turkmen State Institute of Economics and Management, Seyitnazar Seydi Turkmen State Pedagogical Institute, Yagshygeli Kakayev International University of Oil and Gas, and Turkmen State Energy Institute participated.

Students from Turkmen higher education institutions demonstrated exceptional performance, securing a total of 26 medals: 3 gold, 10 silver, and 13 bronze in the individual competition. Medine Odayeva, a student from the International University for the Humanities and Development, received the Olympiad's Grand prix. On March 12, an awarding ceremony was held at the International University for the Humanities and Development's conference hall to honor the winners. During the ceremony, the Magtymguly Youth Organization presented gifts to the medal-winning teachers and students. These achievements in the "International Year of Peace and Trust" inspire the nation's youth to pursue further success. In this era, Turkmenistan is confidently advancing on the global scientific and educational stage, enriching its education system with contemporary content. The award ceremony participants expressed their deep gratitude to the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Hero Arkadag, and Arkadagly Hero Serdar, for the opportunities provided to study, learn, create, and participate in such competitions, meeting the advanced requirements of the present day.
