A working meeting on the creation of the "Lu Ban Workshop" was held at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University

During the revival of a new era of a sovereign state, thanks to the unprecedented efforts of the President of Turkmenistan, His Excellency Serdar Berdimuhamedov, and international cooperation, the scientific and educational potential of our country is steadily strengthening.

 In accordance with the tasks set by the esteemed President, the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University is actively and fruitfully cooperating in the field of science and education with prestigious foreign universities, international organizations and companies.

 In the joint statement of Turkmenistan and the People's Republic of China, adopted during the state visit of the Esteemed President to the People's Republic of China in 2023, a proposal was put forward to advance the implementation of the «Lu Ban Workshop» project.

 In this regard, in 2024, a Memorandum of Understanding was signed in Xi'an (People's Republic of China) between the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University, Xi'an Petroleum University, Hebei Petroleum Vocational University, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) and the China Association for International Educational Exchange.

The main objective of the Memorandum is to establish the "Lu Ban Workshop" at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International Oil and Gas University.

In order to fulfill the objectives stipulated in the Memorandum, on March 10-11, 2025, the University held a ceremonial opening of the advanced training courses of the Lu Ban Workshop and a working meeting with the participation of delegations of the Ministry of Education of Turkmenistan, Deputy Secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Committee of the Communist Party of the People's Republic of China, the Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Turkmenistan, the Turkmen branch of the Chinese company CNPC, Xi'an Petroleum University, Hebei Petroleum Vocational and Technical University and Shaanxi Vocational and Technical College.

During the conference, the delegation of the People's Republic of China was introduced to the structure of the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International  Oil and Gas University, its academic buildings, research and training centers, laboratories, specialties and areas of training at the university, and scientific research. During the conference, together with the delegation of the People's Republic of China, an opening ceremony was held for the construction and installation works of the «Lu Ban Workshop» project, laboratory equipment, as well as advanced training courses for university teachers in the bachelor's degree programs "Geology and mineral exploration" and "Information systems and technologies (in the oil and gas industry)" with the presentation of relevant certificates. The issues of cooperation in the selection and admission of talented students (graduates) who graduated from the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International  Oil and Gas University in 2025 for study in the master's program of Xi'an Petroleum University, as well as a comprehensive study of regions and individual countries of the world in accordance with the joint educational program were discussed.

At the end of the opening ceremony of the advanced training courses and the working meeting, the participants of the meeting expressed gratitude to our Hero Arkadagly Serdar and Hero Arkadag for the opportunities they provide in the field of science and education, exchange of experience with prestigious foreign higher education institutions, companies and research centers.
