A large-scale exhibition showcasing the achievements of the private sector of our economy has opened

On March 17, a large-scale exhibition dedicated to the 17th anniversary of the establishment of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan opened in the capital, demonstrating the achievements and opportunities of the private sector of the national economy.

The comprehensive development of entrepreneurship and the expanding role of the private sector in the country’s economy through the wide implementation of modern market methods are among the key directions of the socio-economic policy initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people, the Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan, Hero Arkadag, and successfully implemented by President Serdar Berdymukhamedov. In accordance with state programs, entrepreneurship plays a special role in the industrialization of our homeland, the implementation of large projects, and the production of competitive products for the global market. As a result of state support for private entrepreneurship, Turkmenistan is becoming an industrially developed country with a powerful manufacturing sector.

In recent years, the government has taken significant steps to stimulate small and medium-sized businesses. Favorable legal, economic, and financial conditions have been created. These include the improvement of the tax system, simplification of the procedure for registering and licensing entrepreneurial activities, acceleration of customs procedures for private producers exporting their products, and the provision of preferential loans. Entrepreneurs who effectively utilize these favorable conditions are currently actively participating in the development of the national economy and making a significant contribution, as clearly demonstrated by today's exhibition.

...In the morning, in the square in front of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry, performances by cultural figures and masters of arts were held in honor of the opening of the exhibition.

The event was attended by the Chairman of the Mejlis, Deputy Chairmen of the Cabinet of Ministers, heads and representatives of ministries and agencies, public organizations, mass media, foreign companies, diplomatic missions of foreign countries, and international organizations accredited in Turkmenistan.

A congratulatory Address by President Serdar Berdymukhamedov to the participants of the exhibition of industrialists and entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan on the occasion of the 17th anniversary of the Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan and the International Forum “Investments in the Future of Turkmenistan” was attentively heard.

"Currently, the activities of Turkmen entrepreneurs in implementing the state's policy in the field of scientific and technological reforms, utilizing the broad opportunities of the digital economy, and developing industry, agriculture, and services in accordance with modern requirements are impressive. Individual entrepreneurs, who have become the driving force of the new economic direction, are implementing important projects and making a significant contribution to the development of the economy and the improvement of the well-being of our people," the message states.

The products and services of Turkmen entrepreneurs must become a model of modern quality. A focus on innovation, science, and advanced technologies, sustainable development, and adherence to the principles of a “green” economy are all characteristic of our private sector representatives.

The President also expressed firm confidence that domestic entrepreneurs will continue to work diligently, making every effort to implement grand projects and advance the work already underway.

Afterward, the participants of the ceremony visited the exhibition, which reflects the achievements of the private sector of our country's economy. This year, about 130 private enterprises, working in various sectors, are participating in the exhibition.

The significant increase in the number of SPPT members in recent years, the flourishing of private initiatives thanks to the created conditions, and the further expansion of entrepreneurial activities are evidence of the success of the state policy in this direction. This is also confirmed by numerous national trademarks displayed on a large screen located at the entrance to the exhibition.

Individual enterprises are actively participating in important projects implemented in the country, making a worthy contribution to the development of the economy, the creation of new jobs, and the improvement of the standard of living of our people. Thanks to their efforts, modern production facilities for the production of competitive, export-oriented products that replace imported goods are being launched, thereby strengthening food abundance in the homeland.

The products and achievements of Turkmen enterprises presented at the exhibition attracted great interest from guests of our country.

Several booths demonstrated a wide assortment of candies and confectionery products. It should be noted that some producers export their products, which fully comply with ISO standards and others. These include the businesses “Hasar,” “Misgär,” “Şerbetli ak gar,” “Hojaly,” as well as private enterprises “Altyn Ýunus,” “Doganlar ýyldyzy,” “Duýgy,” whose products are in high demand on both domestic and foreign markets. The vast variety of meat, dairy, and confectionery products under the brand “Täze Aý” attracted significant attention from visitors to the exhibition.

A significant portion of the exhibition consists of dairy products, baby food, and fruit juices from the agricultural societies “Sahabatly,” “Gönezlik,” “Ýüpekçi,” “Sada suw,” and other private enterprises.

The agricultural sector is one of the most important in the economy. In this regard, in accordance with the well-thought-out strategy initiated by the National Leader of the Turkmen people and successfully implemented under the leadership of President Serdar Berdymukhamedov, large-scale work is being done to support agricultural producers and continuously develop the sector. The provision of long-term leases for agricultural land and the creation of other favorable conditions have led to an increase in the number of large private enterprises and farming businesses in the country.

Turkmen entrepreneurs are doing great work to increase food production by developing new irrigated lands, planting fruit orchards on these lands, and expanding greenhouse operations.

Among them is the greenhouse complex of the joint-stock company “Miwe,” covering an area of 110 hectares for banana cultivation. In addition, the entrepreneurs of this joint-stock company are engaged in the production of apples, pears, plums, and almonds.

Special attention should be paid to the activities of the economic society “Ýigit” and the farming enterprise “Daýhan sarpasy.” The exhibition also features booths from many other entrepreneurs cultivating agricultural crops in greenhouse conditions, ensuring the supply of fresh vegetables to domestic consumers year-round.

In 2024, the economic society “Gündogar akymy” sowed 350 hectares of land with soybeans for the first time in the country, which are widely used in the production of various food products, yielding a rich harvest. Entrepreneurs, who plan to nearly double the area devoted to this crop, are showcasing vegetable oil made from soybeans at the exhibition this year.

In addition, the exhibition widely presents the achievements of private enterprises in the livestock industry. Entrepreneurs working in this sector are actively adopting advanced foreign experience. The high achievements of the economic societies “Ajaýyp ussat halal önümler” and “Sahabatly,” which specialize in breeding Holstein, Simmental, and Angus cattle for meat and milk production, as well as large and small cattle, African ostriches, pheasants, partridges, and turkeys, are evident. The exhibition also features fish and seafood products produced by the economic societies “Täze balyk” and “Elin balyk.”

This exhibition demonstrates the potential of the private sector to increase the production of consumer goods. There is significant demand in the country for products from the individual enterprise “Röwşen,” the economic society “Muhammet-Balkan,” and others that produce modern clothing and footwear. The private enterprise “Batly-Gadam” demonstrates its achievements in textile production.

New enterprises are being created as a result of state policy aimed at increasing the share of the private sector in the economy through the improvement of the entrepreneurial system. In recent years, domestic businessmen have successfully set up the production of various types of motor oils and lubricants for automobiles. Among them are the products of the economic society “Asuda akym” and the private enterprises “Geljege miras” and “Yhlasly nazar.”

The individual enterprise “Bir kuwwat” demonstrates various chemicals used in automotive and industrial applications at the exhibition.

Representatives of the private sector are actively following the principles of sustainable development and the “green” economy, based on scientific advancements and cutting-edge technologies. The exhibition also showcases the process of paper production from marble stone using an innovative method. This paper, produced by the economic society “Derýa ýoly,” is characterized by exceptional strength, water and oil resistance, as well as environmental friendliness. The exhibition features new products from the economic society “Tilsimat” – various pumps for transferring water and petroleum products, as well as spare parts for them.

Here, you can also see a wide range of payment and SIM cards produced by the economic society “Aýdyň gijeler,” which specializes in producing various types of modern industrial and electronic products. The enterprise has been producing televisions, laptops, and tablets in collaboration with foreign specialists for several years. Several companies at the exhibition are showcasing their capabilities in the production of optical fiber and cables.

The presented exhibition fully demonstrates that the private sector, effectively utilizing state support, has become the driving force behind the economy of our sovereign country.

The creation of necessary infrastructure in cities and villages, meeting high international standards, and large-scale construction projects initiated by President Serdar Berdymukhamedov are clear evidence of the success of the constructive state policy aimed at ensuring a happy and prosperous life for our people.

Currently, private specialized enterprises are successfully implementing large construction projects throughout the country. In this regard, special attention should be paid to the city of Arkadag, which is unique in the region and entirely built by domestic builders according to the “smart city” concept. The city’s receipt of international certificates from authoritative organizations, foreign companies, and educational institutions is a sign of international recognition of the achievements of our country, including private construction companies, in urban planning.

A number of partner enterprises at the exhibition are interpreting the development of their projects. Many of them have participated in large construction projects in our country and have gained extensive experience. Among them is the private enterprise “Nur bina gurluşyk,” which is implementing the project of a higher educational institution for the Union of

Industrialists and Entrepreneurs of Turkmenistan.
