A seminar was held on the topic: “Wide introduction of innovative technologies in the oil and gas sector of Turkmenistan based on interregional economic cooperation”

At the seminar held on March 20, 2025 at the Yagshygeldi Kakayev International of Oil and Gas University, the tasks arising from the historic speech of the National Leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the Halk Maslahaty of Turkmenistan Hero-Arkadag at the international conference "International Year of Peace and Trust: the role of interregional economic cooperation in ensuring sustainable development" were discussed.

During the seminar, it was noted that Turkmenistan directly links the idea of ​​peace and trust with economic development, and in this regard, the International Year of Peace and Trust should mainly focus on economic cooperation.

Currently, regional and interregional ties are being strengthened in different parts of the world, new economic unions are being created. Turkmenistan consistently advocates a fair geo-economic environment. It advocates the implementation of large-scale international projects related to the efficient use of energy resources. The Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India international gas pipeline is one of the largest projects. Cooperation between the parties involved in the implementation of the projects and international financial institutions, investment funds, banking institutions and specialized organizations plays an important role. It was noted that great trust is being placed in Turkmenistan’s long-standing and reliable financial partners – the World Bank, the Asian Development Bank, the Islamic Development Bank, the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, funds from other friendly countries, which will continue to work to expand cooperation with the countries of Central and South Asia.

It is necessary to note the special significance of the international gas pipeline Turkmenistan-Afghanistan-Pakistan-India. This project is based on strengthening interstate relations, creating new opportunities for mutual cooperation and exchange of ideas. The important proposals put forward to ensure energy security in the world and the region, which are widely supported and promoted by the international community, and the positive results of the policy pursued by neutral Turkmenistan in this area, were very meaningfully reflected in the speech of Hero-Arkadag at this important seminar.

From this point of view, our common goal on the Asian continent is not only the implementation of specific projects, but also the creation of foundations for lasting peace and security, strengthening trust for broad cooperation, and the formation of a favorable political and economic environment. It was emphasized that Hero-Arkadag proposed to create one of the most promising centers for energy, transport, and communications cooperation at the regional and global level.

The participants of the seminar expressed their wishes that the great undertakings of Hero Arkadag and Arkadagly Hero Serdar for the economic development of our country and strengthening peace in the region and the world would always be successful, that they would be healthy and live long, and that their work for the benefit of the country and the world would be successful.
