Bishkek hosted a conference dedicated to Makhtumkuli and a presentation of his collection of poems in the Kyrgyz language

On October 3, 2024, a scientific and practical conference "300 years of the classic of oriental poetry Makhtumkuli Fragi" was held in Bishkek. As part of the event, a presentation of a collection of Makhtumkuli's poems in the Kyrgyz language was held. About this reports MFA of Turkmenistan.

The event was attended by deputy ministers of culture, information, sports and youth policy, education and science of the Kyrgyz Republic, faculty of leading universities in Bishkek, creative intelligentsia and media representatives.

It was emphasized that the literary heritage of the classic poet Makhtumkuli Fragi, his works calling for peace, patriotism, harmony, as well as brotherhood and friendship, serve to strengthen relations between peoples.

Speaking at the conference, Ambassador of Turkmenistan to the Kyrgyz Republic N. Golliyev emphasized the role of the literature of Makhtumkuli Fragi, whose creative heritage has become an integral part of the treasury of world culture.

During the presentation, it was noted that the translated collection of poems of the poet into the Kyrgyz language is intended to promote a wider acquaintance of the Kyrgyz people with the work of Makhtumkuli Fragi and to strengthen the humanitarian dialogue between the countries.
