On March 28, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held the next meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via a digital system, with a number of issues related to state affairs included on the agenda.
The Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers, H. Geldimyradov, reported on the ongoing preparations for the meeting of the heads of national coordinating bodies of the United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asian Countries (SPECA), scheduled to take place on April 8–10 of this year in the city of Geneva, Swiss Confederation.
As reported, the upcoming meeting will provide an overview of the implementation of the SPECA Roadmap for the digitalization of multimodal data and document exchange along the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor using UN legal instruments and standards, discuss the draft Concept for the Development of SPECA until 2030, and facilitate an exchange of views on deepening regional trade connectivity.
In this context, corresponding proposals were submitted for the consideration of the head of state.
After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov noted that cooperation with the United Nations is among the key vectors of the implemented policy. In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister was instructed to properly prepare for the meeting of the heads of national coordinating bodies of the United Nations Special Programme for the Economies of Central Asian Countries (SPECA), to be held in the Swiss Confederation, and to actively participate in it.
